Hockler vs Caesar

Aw, Whalecore changed his avatar...

I like the Caesar more than the Hockler, but I'm still going Spec Ops for the sight, mask and tattoos.

They aren't supposed to hold up to an assault rifle in a straight 1-on-1 firefight. That's why they're called "side-arms" or "back-ups". And if you're close enough to shoot someone with a revolver but you miss then honestly you deserve to get shot in the face.

Why even have it if it svcks?

Maybe for the same reasons ANY good soldier always has a good back up weapon?

1) They are lighter and smaller then your main weapon, so they can be carried easily along with all your other gear.

2) It's great to have once you run out of ammo for your main weapon (If you ever do) so you're not left with nothing but rocks and human ingenuity.

Non-realistic reason? It's damn fun to be able to say you took out a heavy with nothing but a pistol and skill.

No idea, but it would be a great addition to the body type bonuses. Probably not though, since each body type is restricted to certain weapon classes.

The net weight of the weapons youre carrying probably affects your run speed, like in mw2.

The real question is rate of fire versus power. Which would you rather have?

I like both guns, but I chose the Hockler because it is automatic.

I want to see what each of the two looks like for the opposite faction. I plan on ordering through Amazon, mainly because of convenience... but I wanna know if A: I can use the Caesar revolver as Security, B: what it looks like on security, and C: if I can use the silencer with other guns...

I guess I won't know though.

It would cause an uproar, especially about the machine pistol. It's unfair to the rest of the players that a select few get to have access to special weapons just because they had more money at the time.

Uhh... pre-ordering isn't any more costly than buying the game normally.

A: I should hope so, I haven't heard anything directly about pre order items but beside them all other guns are available for both factions so I don't see why not.
C:Once regular attachment are unlocked they become available on all compatible guns so it should appear as an attachment option on all guns that can have silencers.

I wouldn't be concerned that it would cause an uproar. My guess is that it isn't gonna be very strong. It will probably be just as powerful as any of the other beginning machine pistols. And yeah. They should be exclusive. But they shouldn't be super great guns.

There's only one machine pistol in the game.

Besides, the beginning weapons in Brink are said to be the best in the game, with the later unlocks being much more specialized weapons.

But anyway, I wouldn't be surprised to find out that both of the Pre-order weapons are just reskins. I'm hoping they aren't, but it would be the easiest way to balance them.

And also you, hopefully, won't be allowed to silence the mini-gun.

That would be funny.

I always prefer SMGs over other guns. No, wait, that's not true.
A more accurate phrase is: I prefer PDWs over other guns. Which - of course - includes the MP7 (or Hockler, in BRINK). And I love em silenced.

Sadly, there aren't many games which make a difference between PDW and SMG. And BRINK won't make a difference here. Though they have a PDW amongst their pistols, too.

I like revolvers. I have fired a few before an I just enjoy them. Always have. Plus I feel like Dirty Harry whenever I am using one. haha. So I vote Caesar Revolver.

I'm getting Brink from Best Buy because I want people to see my Vault Boy shirt... but if I had to choose between the two, I would say the Caesar Revolver because it seems like it would be a force to be reckoned with.

I'm going with the Hockler, the weapon it's actually based off of is BA, plus the Sloani mask that comes with it is sweet, not saying the other mask with the Caesar isn't, it's wicked, and the tattoo is better in my opinion, there's just no reason to order something for the resistance when I know I'm going to play Security.

I know what you mean about the PDWs most games just toss em in with the rest of the SMG lot, and by em, I mean maybe 1 or 2 per game.

True true, any any attachments you unlock aren't necessarily going to make the weapon better, just alter it's performance.

And I'd hope not too, that would be a total cop-out. Even the slightest of stat changes would suffice.

Why does the caesar come with a silencer if you can just get a silencer from unlocking one in the game?
