So I recently saw this topic about role-playing as a Hold Guard and I thought it could be fun. However, I am having trouble finding Guard armor. I know there are several Guard corpses in the Rift, but I am looking for armors of the noob-friendly holds (Falkreath, Whiterun). I am not going to do the Main-Quest yet, so I cannot wait for a random dragon to devour a Guard and killing Guards for their armor is also out of the question. Anybody know where I can find some Falkreath or Whiterun Guard armor?

You have to kill 1 of each guard (except the Riften guards)

Damn! Maybe I can just draw some Giants into the city and let them do the work.

Have you checked the barracks in Whiterun and Falkreath? I don't know if there is armor available in either as I've never looked, but it would be worth a shot. If you haven't already.

You'd have to steal for the Whiterun Armor. You enter the Jarl's Quarter's and go straight. It will be in a locked display case.

No idea for Falkreath.

You do not need to kill any Stormcloaks either. There are 2 dead ones in a den near Ivarstead with a troll. You can use there outfits for Windhelm.

You need to kill a Windhelm guard for the Windhelm guard shield.

Sadly, there arent any others available besides riften and the one Whiterun tunic. They should have put some you could steal in the barracks.

I remember having to slit a Solitude Guard's throat for his awesome red scaled armor and dragging him into the bushes. I felt so bad.

Meh, his knee was killing him anyway.

If I recall correctly, Mirmulnir, the first dragon you fight, has a Whiterun Guard Armor and Helmet in its inventory.

If you are on PC, just CC it into your inventory.

There is also a cuirass locked in a display case in Dragonsreach.

Or, you can also pickpocket the armor as well.
