Holes in Terrain

Hey,

I've searched everywhere but can't find a fix for this :(

Basically, I'm seeing tiles fail to load, resulting in holes in the terrain. It is seemingly random, when I reload sometimes the tile is there, sometimes it is other tiles. I've fully patched with both patches. It has completely baffled me,

Basic systems info:
Intel i7 920 Quad
Gigabyte EX58-UD3R
ATI Radeon 4870
6.00 GB DDR3 RAM
Microsoft Windows 7 64-bit

I've got to a point where the game is barely playable. Basically I'm playing along, when I find a hole in the ground I walk right up to its edge, save game, quit to main menu and reload and BAM the tile is there but with bits of critters and animals flying around the place. Then I'm good for another couple of tiles and I have to repeat the ordeal.

It seems like the game loads tiles when opening a save, but not while playing.

It has completely baffled me, I've fully reinstalled twice with both patches. I don't know if there is something in the INI file I can edit? Is there a setting that can load more adjacent tiles so I don't have to reload as regularly? Theres gotta be something

This is incredibly frustrating, I've been hanging out for the game and it just wants to play hardball... :(
