Should there be some type of holidays or celebrations in Skyrim? Could be kind of fun ya know?

Tis the season after all! :obliviongate:

Maybe local festivals and such. The games have always kept track of the days. It would be nice to see those days mean something.

Wouldn't work. The player could miss an event, and that event would be lost to them.

Yes. The Feast days are in Daggerfall, and should be in Skyrim.

I'm kind of okay with that. The festivals don't have to have lost artifacts that are only available for one day or anything. Just little things, maybe some quests ( that could keep happening every year until you do it). There are plenty of ways to lose/miss things anyway. I think it would be worth it for the flavor.

Some kind of local festival would be good. The player will hear about it through rumors or chitchat between NPCs.
If it's not easy to be realized in the game, then just a little bit of twist on NPC schedule might be fine.

Maybe if they had something on like the first of each month, or something to that extent. Even then, I still think it is unnecessary.

I'd really like to see local festivals! They could just be apart of the internal game clock/calendar and have no relation to the Player. Windhelm has a pretty huge festival to remember Ysgramor and his 500 warriors as they swept clean the Falmer incursion.

IT would only be really good if time actually passed quickly in game. As it is, even when taking your time (unless you're playing super realistically, drawing out every action. and even then) you could complete most if not all of the past two games in about a month of in-game time.

It would be nice to see, but time just doesn't go by quickly enough to warrant holidays and such being relevant. And it won't help if Skyrim retains the massively stupid wait system of Oblivion that took 10394203489234324 hours to actually get through its functions.
