Hello Everyone at the Bethesda forums, & Especially to the Elder Scrolls Fans & Staff alike.
this is my first post here so i hope it's ok. Im "like all of you" waiting patiently for *The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim* which looks to surpass Oblivion* in everyway. I was astounded when Bethesda released Oblivion upon us in 2006, and this year 2011 looks to be another great year for not just Bethesda Softworks but us the fans.. who're surely drooling over Skyrim's beautiful vistas (i know i am). Especially the massive mountains, epic tundra's & sinister caves. not to mention Dragons! we will totally lose ourselves in this title... I know i'll get carried away, like i'l find myself just staring at the awesome misty peaks breathing in the cold air & keeping an eye on the sky*...

In short, my thread here is to show you all what iv'e been working on these past months. Unfortunatly i had no idea that Bethesda came out with an Editor (the construction set) until the other week.. so i'm so far behind with knowing how to map using that yet.. and now with skyrim so close to release i should maybe just wait til the brand new Creation Kit is released before beginning..? Well here's what iv'e done so far with the vast knowlegde i have using "Crysis" CryEngine 2 sandbox 2... it's a map that reflects my love of the Elder Scrolls games in general. it's very *Starry Heart of Dawn's Beauty'ish*........ i'm in the process of still creating and forming the outside landscape to my will.. Mwoahaoahoaahaahhahahaha.. ;)
But soon i'm about to start adding a cave complex that goes right through the mountainside iv'e created.. the overall tone of this Isle is a very cold errie, inhospitable atmosphere.. i feel that overall this is my own little version of Skyrim*. Not to be exact of course, it could'nt and should'nt be.. it's just that The Elder Scrolls & what ive seen of Skyrim so far has inspired me so much that this map is the outcome.. of over 3 months work too i might add. :) nothing compared to Mr.Todd Howard's years spent on these games, but a fitting Homage none-the-less.

I invite you to take a look at the images and tell me what you think of them. With any hope you'll apreciate what iv'e done & know that come the *Creation Kit* i'll be hard at work using that to make a much more believable world that respects the team at Bethesda & you the fans that you would play my maps and enjoy them. i'm a gamer through & through so i know what you like. i'm also currently studying 3ds max 2012 to get into the industry ASAP. Thanks and Enjoy*

Looks awesome man! To me CryEngine and the Frostbite engine have better (more realistic) graphics than any engine Bethesda has ever used.

thankyou aSaPp!5@, yeah the cryEngine is very easy to get used to. Yes it has many options and features that seem daunting at first but the big "perspective view" is very handy, you can see what your doing, call up the console if you need it to tweak things, and it keeps track of all the choices you make such as the textures you've created for painting etc. took me afew months to get into the hang of it but im pretty good at it now, i can even make cutscenes :)

& thanks longhornzrock96, I'll continue to make this map even come 11.11.11 but it will be put on hold at least afew weeks while i thrash skyrim. iv'e spent over 1000 hours on oblivion to date, and i forsee that i'll spend twice that on skyrim!

Love it man.

And props for the song, don't find that many fellow Coheed Fans around here, especially ones that like old Coheed like In Keeping Secrets of Silent Earth 3, and Second Stage Turbine Blade.

Wow! a fellow Coheed fan! a rare find these days. hey have you got their symbol tattoos the dragonfly & the keywork symbol? I do, that & all their cd's dvd's including the boxset "Children of the fence" that has the metal dragonfly and a massive documentary. Furthermore have ya met the guys? i did at the adelaide Soundwave Festival 2011 march 5th.. i got their signatures. was one of the best days of my life. In keeping secrets is one of my fav songs, just one of their more powerful songs. their new album "year of the black rainbow" is great too. ;)

glad you liked the video man. :celebration:

Ahh you lucky dog. :P

I've been a huge fan of them for like 8 years now and I want to see them live so bad. I wanted to get the Keyword tattooed on my left shoulder with 21:13 under it. I have every single song ever released by them, they take up almost all of the space on my blackberry's media card :P

Hehehe.. i was lucky, i managed to buy a ticket, for these guys to come to my state is a big deal, they always doing shows in the USA, so for them to come down to australia was great. i had to wait til around 2pm i think to see them play, i think pennywise* was just before them, i managed to push through everybody and reach the front and i stayed there so i could be in the front row, was really cool seing them in person, & lo and behold' "In Keeping Secrets" was the first song! then after i went to the booth to get signings and handshakes. i'll try to get some photo's to show you the tattoos i got here. Honestly the next tatto i'm getting will be one of two ideas. Either a drawing i did from "The Amory Wars" Claudio's comics of the story of Coheed.. of the character "Amberlina" . Or a big dragon to symbolize my love of Skyrim..

here's some photo's 1 is artwork i did of the character amberlina*. another is the keywork tattoo then the dragonfly tattoo, also my coheed collection.. and another tattoo i have, which is the final fantasy 13 "brand" symbol. also the signed cd that coheed signed for me. and another shows that i also got claudio's sig on my metal dragonfly!!. my maps coming along nicely, im just tweaking it a little everyday. ive made it Heavliy Snowing, and there's plenty of gusts of wind too. if only i could put oblivion's wolfs and trolls etc into this map! but i can try to make these things from scratch with my copy of 3ds max 2012...
