Home cooked meals

Post » Sat Oct 10, 2015 2:35 pm

My wife won't cook for me anymore. She will sell me things from her store and give me my share of the profits. I also get the lover's comfort bonus. But she will not cook for me anymore. It's been three game days and I'm getting hungry. Anyone else ever have this happen? Actually, I'm sure that you all have. The question should be, is there a fix for it? It's not like the whole marriage thing is messed up because everything else withthin the faction works.

I've never had that issue, but it could be because I forget for days on end to ask the spouse for food... Generally making venison, beef or veggie stew for themselves.... Elsewyr Fondue for mages.

The Wiki says their is a fix on pc by using console commands to remarry them... but it says nothing about a fix for 360 or ps3.

I just did the Google thing and apparently this is just a wide-spread issue/glitch. It's not a biggie, because I can make my own food. I was just curious why it stopped all of a sudden. I'd only ask her for it about once every 3-5 game days anyway. One of the wikis mentions that if you sell one of the meals back to the spouse the dialogue can disappear. Or if the perk somehow gets "stuck" in the active effects. I've never even seen the homecooked meal listed int hat section. One of the wikis also mentions that after a certain period of time, this dialog option just simply goes away. Not sure if that's true in all cases and if it is, if it's intentional or not. Oh well. LOL

I’ve had this happen a lot. Sometimes it just resolves itself. Sorry, I have no idea why.

You must have made a derogatory comment on her cooking skills at some point and ticked her off...."No more meals for you!"

I’ve also had Lovers Comfort fails. Even my toughest guys and gals can get their feelings hurt. :cold:

I just noticed that the option to sell to your spouse disappeared from the menu - been many in-game days now. Can still get that home-cooked meal though!

Maybe we'll move to a new home and see if that fixes things. Heljarchen is pretty far from Riften where my PC is getting chummy with the Thieve's Guild.
