I wanna castle surrounded by city. Makes sense. a large castle needs food and other things makes sense that if that's were you get your money that's where you live.
A large stone house just outside the walls of Whiterun. Large open fire in the middle of the lounge with fur rugs and various tapestries to give a cosy feel. There would also be a basemant with weapon racks and training dummies. Oh, and a secret treasure room for mah monies.
So I'm thinking that I'd like to collect the limbs and bones of everyone I kill and build them into a house for maximum desecration. I'd also like to have a solid gold telephone.
If that option isn't available, I'll probably take some kind of fortess.
All of the above. I tend to have different houses for different characters. I usually mod them myself so I can get them just so with additions not typically included in vanilla housing.
There was a screenshot of a camp in Playstation Magazine that I really liked. In general, I'd like a home that's modest, but charming. It doesn't need to be large, but no stained rugs or coverlets, please.
I like them all. In Morrowind I use mostly modded in houses: "Morrowind Abodes" (especially Balmora, Vivec, and Suran). For Skyrim I used a "home in a cave" mod that I haven't been able to find again.
Doppleganger! Everyone, this Skinchanger has Stolen the Face of Your Beloved Edgar!
OY: I will not vote until "Mansion with Graveyard" is added.
That's what option 7(exotic tastes) is for. You don't really expect me to list every kind of home imaginable do you? The poll only gives me a limited amount of options.
I live near a few of castles and they're all draughty, damp and moldy [censored] holes and I would not want to live in one. I'll have a nice little shack in a city or a log cabin in the country side thank you very muchly.
I know you said let your creativity shine, but I also don't want to break immersion. I would love to have a Stone like house, with warm fires and log ceilings and rafters. Kind of like the hall in Bloodmoon for Morrowind, with bearskin rugs and huge fireplaces. Something that fits the area well would be my favorite.
Am i greedy if i say all of the above? I think selection is key in an RPG game. So I'd like to be able to live in a wooden shack out in the woods if i were a thief/assasin. But if i was going for a noble warrior character i'd much rather be able to choose to live in a more civilised home. And it should come with levels, certain keys to better houses will be available when you reach a certain level or complete a certain quest.
