What places exist to make a home in New Vegas? I currently am in Novac and Benny gave me the Presidential Suite in that casino, which I am assuming is a permanent arrangement.

What other places are set up for players to use as houses, homes, or bases of operations? Which one do you prefer and why?

I am talking "offical" in game housing, not some shack or cleared out building

The main "official" player home in New Vegas is the Lucky 38 Presidential Suite, which Mr. House gives to you after you meet him for the first time.

The NCR, Caesar's Legion, the Brotherhood of Steel and the Followers of the Apocalypse have safe houses which they will allow you to access and use as player homes once your reputation with those factions gets high enough.

All of the casinos on the Strip will comp you a luxury suite once you've won enough caps at them. You get a dumpy room at the Atomic Wrangler in Freeside once you've completed Francine Garret's favor quests.

If you have the Old World Blues DLC, the Sink there is a permanent player home as well. I assume you already own the hotel room in Novac - that's yours to keep for the whole game once you acquire it.
