Homosixuality in Skyrim

Post » Fri Nov 13, 2009 7:23 am

Okay, so let's be mature about this and not make the mods shut this thread down, as I'm sure most of you know, homosixuality has been refrenced in past Elder Scrolls titles (Crassius Curio, Viranus Donton and arguably Dumag gro-Bonk the orc in the Shivering Isles who crafted Amber armor for you), because of these past examples I think it's a fair question to ask if you think it will be included again. I'm not talking about anything over the top, just how they've included it in past titles.

For the record, my answers.

1. Yes
2. Yes
3. Not in the slightest

Well its not particularly uncommon as an idea. There was this uncle in MW...

Dangit, you already referenced it.
They already have shown that they know how to handle it, I don't see why not.

2. Yes.
3. Not in the slightest.

It can't hurt in any way. It would probably be very subtle.

Indeed, there have been "themes" in previous TES games, but from what I remember no rock hard confirmation of its presence. Not that it would bother me in the slightest either way.

You have to admit, when Crassius told you to undress for him you laughed, it was impossible not to. xD

Well, I voted No on all three.

HS is a normal and natural fact in life, and I have no problem relating to HS people.

Yet you're asking *me*, a maniac for hot women in lingeries. SO I am totally and shamelessly biased!

I wouldn't mind in the slightest. I think it could even add something different to a few story lines.

This is 2010 not 1610. As long as the gays aren't going to be parading the streets of Tamriel in gstrings and womens clothes I see no problem with this.

1. I don't know.
2. Yes.
3. Not in the slightest.

And I'll repeat what I said in the last thread, for the sake of discussion:

Some references to homosixuality in lore/culture, character backgrounds, etc. would be interesting, if only for the sake of variety and depth. But beyond that I can't see sixuality of any kind playing much of a role in an Elder Scrolls game.

Bethesda seems to have been slowly including more gay characters/relationships in each game, and making them less implied and more blatant. Since this has not burned them with conservative retailers refusing to stock their games, or people calling for boycotts against them, I am sure that trend will continue.

Yeah... this is sooo not going to get re-opened. :stare:

I may review the 20 or so posts I deleted to see if any warnings need to be handed out as well. So that will be fun.

"Not reopened" means not reposting either.
