Trading in certain Xbox 360 games for BRINK - is it worth it?

Fifa 11
Dead Space 2
Metro 2033

The price I get for trading in all 3 of these games is 26 pounds. Is it worth it? So then If I did go through with this, I would only have to pay 10 pounds for BRINK?

Shall I do it? Shall I wait? Is there anywhere else I could get a better deal? Is BRINK even a good game?

Thanks very much in advance people.

Asking on a Brink forum whether Brink is worth your time is likely to result in a "yes" answer. Posting on here pretty much suggests you've more-or-less made up your mind to buy it anyway.

I think whether you'll enjoy it depends on what your expectation of the game is, and whether you like that sort of game. It isn't like classic Enemy Territory, or even much like Quake Wars. It is, to my mind, a lot like a cross between TF2 and Left 4 Dead. Like either of those games, you can play it on your own, but it's a lot better if you have a good bunch of friends you can play with. People I know who've played it solo and multiplayer have said they much preferred playing it online. I have a fairly unstable internet connection so haven't tried it multiplayer, but enjoyed it solo more than I did TF2 but not quite as much as L4D2.

Some of the missions can be pretty challenging, so again that depends on whether you like a game to be very easy or not.

Hope that helps a little bit.

I'll point out that I really enjoy Brink for what it is, an excellent class/objective based shooter. While it does have its share of faults at this time, I know that Splash Damage and Bethesda are pretty committed to making things better all the time!

I'd totally trade in two of those games, but Dead Space 2? Hmmm, that's a tough call in my opinion. I love that game too!! *shrugs*

Do you like Teamwork, a challenge, a fun experience even online, with a unique backstory, smooth movement around a map, and a fresh spin on FPS? If so, then Brink is for you.

Brink forums isn't only full of brown nosers who agree with everything.

If the game is really working your nerves and you can't wait 2-3 weeks for the certification process on console, I'd advise you to actually trade the game in. Don't let it make you rage and get angry. It's not worth the annoyance. They dropped the ball BIG TIME and the free DLC is more of an apology than it is a thank you. I suggest if you're gonna do it pull the trigger soon because a place like Game Stop is going to catch on and start lowering the sell back price. A friend of mine who works at one said they're getting an unusual amount of returns.

You didn't read the OP, did you?

He's asking if he should trade OTHER games in to buy Brink. Not the other way around.

In THAT case, your answer would probably be "no."

Form a personal perspecitve, I'd only be uncertain about Dead Space 2, but that's because I'm a total non-fan of the other 2 games.

If you like those games, I wouldn't recommend trading them for Brink until you've played it first - rent a copy, or play it at a friend's house if you know someone who has it.

It IS a great game, but it's not for everyone. There are a few bugs (which I'm sure will be resolved in good time). There are some oddities in how the game works compared to other recent FPS titles, which make it feel unfamiliar and strange - for some people that will translate as "bad" - if you know what you're getting into, and like the idea, you're going to LOVE it.
