Honest Hearts FAQ

New Guy here...

Gotta say, I'm a huge Fallout fan. Got addicted with Fallout 3. With that said, I'm not too happy that they've allowed false information (and false hope) that made people believe that the new dlc was coming out on April 19th. They knew there would be speculation about that date and instead of squashing false info they let us believe the rumors. I dont like teases so either give me some real info or ill be on my way. I guess thats where I'm at right now. If the new dlc comes out this week, you can bet your *** ill be online buying it. If they lead us along till next week I'm buying COD's new map pack and have no intention of buying the dlc any time soon. If thats the case (and it doesnt come out till next week), I hope others will follow my lead and take a stand in not buying the dlc and find some other games to fill their time. Communication is key and there not doing too good of a job. Rant over....

If it does come out this week, Ill be crazy amped to kick some ***. I never played Fallout 1 or 2, so i had to read up on what alot of you guys were talking about (burned man/joshua graham). Pretty cool story! From the first time I played New Vegas I always wondered what nash was talking about (other courier). Guy seemed to have some really deep seeded hate for the courier.

They do that to increase your antisipation, and guess what, it worked!
With That said, i heard the new patch was to be out sometime monday for pc, if true we might see the dlc within a couple days from now. Its not nessesary for a trailer to be out before the dlc to comes out, in fact the are plenty of good clues of advertisemant, like the pictuers in Xbox Live Maketplace.

I hope we get more use out of this dlc then dead money. I want to revisit these places when i'am done like point lookout, hopefully get some cool equipment without having to worry if I missed a weapon mod and have now lost out on it. If it comes out after brink I will just skip it and get the rest on a discount deal later. If it adds lame equipment and is just a one off story,I will just read about it later. Some of us only pay money for the better plasma weapon and will never take story ark seriously Mr Cain, then again some of us don't even use plasma weapons(me).

I'm thinking, "The rocks blocking the northern passage have been cleared" message will pop-up, then a quest similar to the one of the Sierra Madre will mark the Northern Passage and to New Canaan you go.
you can make the rocks disappear by FT some where then FT back B)

Patch hits Steam today, PSN today or tommorow, and XBL by friday. So it's looking good for a DLC next week :)

I wish PSN wasn't down still. Now hopefully the dlc will be announced right behind the patch release, but most likely it will be released by next week.

Jason edited the balance sticky. Posted it on Twitter.

quote:

"Update: The Fallout: New Vegas PS3 patch was supposed to go out at midnight tonight in SCEA countries. Until PSN comes back, we won't know exactly when it will be live. PC users will still get the patch today, and we expect 360 to be live by the end of the week. "

Someone said the other day that patches can still be released whilst PSN is down, so I'll be checking. But which midnight is that?

I read that having PSN down won't stop me from getting any game updates. Is this true?

you don't have to be signed in to get the patches as long as you are still connected to the internet, although it may require PSN to be at least working and i think they are a bit more worried about the stability of PSN rather than a patch for a game.

I know that, I was just asking if that could be done not that I expected it. It's supposedly going to be back up tomorrow, but I am a very patient person and can understand sony's situation. [face_peace]

so you asked a question that you already knew the answer to? Seen as though you put a question mark after ''is this true?'' i assumed that this meant you were asking a question, of which i confirmed it was true by telling you, that you can download patches without being signed into PSN.

Thanks for the negativity, buzzkill. PC will get it sometime today. PSN was supposed to get it today, so if it's back tomorrow, it has a chance.

Hopefully there's a trailer today or tomorrow to go along the with the new patch. The banner was enough to increase my hype that it's releasing soon.

I read that this can be done, not that I knew the answer. You must not know how to read and make sense of anything because I thought that what
I wrote was pretty straight forward, but I guess not. So to clear any misunderstanding up I said I read some article on-line that said it was possible, but It doesn't mean that I believed it or was sure that it was true, so I decide to ask someone here if they knew if it was possible and you answered that it was. That's all it was!!!!!!!!!!

If the patch hits by Friday, then why aren't we hearing anything big with HH?

just because the patch is out doesn't mean HH will be released right away or maybe they don't feel the need to advertise its release until its actually available
