Honest Hearts FAQ

Post » Thu Aug 19, 2010 10:16 pm

If I was a gambling person (I'm not, hate Caravan), I would say:

Honest Hearts: Ringo approaches you and says he's making his move to New Canaan, would you be interested in going along as caravan protection. Etc So I wouldn't let Cass have her way with the Crimson Caravan before the DLC is released (save point)

For the hoover dam thing in the FAQs area you might just want to say that "NO DLC WILL CONTINUE AFTER THE ENDING, EVER. CONFIRMED BY THE MAKERS OF THE GAME."

Also, I'm almost positive that none of the screen shots of HH show the courier in them because usually they have pictures of the Courier wearing the Vault suit and every FO3 DLC had the LW wearing his vault suit. Maybe the town New Canaan is being harassed by tribals or perhaps tribals is just another term for raiders.

Finally, i'm more then positive that each DLC will add 5 lvls because i remember reading somewhere that the game had a LVL limit up to 50 right now its at 35 so with O.W.B. + L.S.R. + HH = 50lvls which is about what it will take to make our characters Demi gods.

I don't mind being a Demi god but I know a lot of people have RP and balance issues with that; but it's mainly for console players because they're so used to being Demi Gods in different campaigns and the fact that they can't just mod there stats like PC users can.

Not necessarily. They have said no "Broken Steel"-esque DLC. It is possible that they would make a DLC in a new map that takes place outside of the Mojave, making it so your ending isn't invalidated. And that girl in the tribal outfit is the Courier. Look at the pip-boy.

To counter the fact that you can kill the named NPC's in the Crimson Caravan, I'd say there'll just be a radio signal coming from the Northern Passage (or wherever the DLC starts) advertising a job as a caravaneer, or a guard. You go with them to New Canaan, and get ambushed at some point, losing your equipment and will to live.

Point taken, The stuff I've heard about the Divide sounds intense so there is a possibility of it taking place several months after the ending of the battle of Hoover dam. The only problem would be that depending on who you sided with they'd have to make it so that the NPCs don't say directly who won the battle of hoover dam.

and I didn't notice the pipboy before, the mountains in the distance had me intrigued.

Sawyer said that the devs are the ones making (the game), and no forum posters are going to dictate the way the game goes (or words to that affect). So we can do a million "We would like more aliens" or "Fallout 4 should be in Timbuktu" but ultimately the devs and the game owners are going to make the game THEIR way. If we like it, we buy it. If we don't, we won't.

Nah [censored]

Its still fun to brain storm things. Its nice to find out the devs work on a similar brain wave when we find something we were hoping for.

-Liberty Prime 37, I'm pretty sure the battle of the Divide is its own thing.

It means that the DLC COULD and I emphasize COULD be rather linear like say Anchorage or the Pitt. Freeroam would be like a Point Lookout DLC where you can come as you go, go where you want, do it when you want to kind of deal.

Kinda depends on how you approach it, but thanks for the clarification. That could be why I was so bored in The Pitt. Anchorage was cool though, Zeta was a maze, and Lookout was beast :hubbahubba:

Magazine scans/screens are against forum rules as far as I recall.

Does anyone know where to see the DLC preview without buying the magazine?

What a pointless thread.

It has the info we've been given and will be updated with future info.
It has more of a point than 15 copy threads about the same thing.

True, but still it's just... "Will it have this? - Maybe."
"Can we do this? - Probably, but maybe not." etc..

Just seems all redundant. We'll see it when we see it.

Just like any FAQ's, it's supposed to answer - oh hey look at that- frequently asked questions to anyone who doesn't know anything and instead of making a thread about: "Whar Is Mah HH DLC?!" they can be informed here.

You mean the Question and Answer part?
Well it's more along the lines of "For the love of holy Bruce Willis stop asking about if there will be a level cap + or if we can go past the ending! WE DON'T KNOW!!"
It's very repetitive to hear the same line over and over from those who can't bother to research on their own so the questions cover that part.
No matter how many times they ask we still do not know since there has not been any confirmation of that.
They will of course be updated when we got more info as well.

And again, I have no idea how a FAQ is done so excuse me so much if it's not up to standard.

Not necessarily.
Honest Hearts is already complete so Old World Blues might be in it's final stages if not complete too.
So those two might be released far closer together.
Still, May 3 is like 16 days or so away and with so little info on Honest Hearts I doubt it'll get released before that date.
But both of the DLC's info might come closer together.

Like, an example:

April 19th: HH info.
April 21th: HH info.
May 3rd: OWB info.
May 6th: HH info.
May 10th: OWB info.

Currently the 3 DLC's from the rumor still remains as a rumor.
We didn't get news of PL or MZ until all three DLC's for FO3 were out so I think they'll wait with announcing any further DLC's until the ones they have planned (HH, OWB, LR) are out.

No, it stands at 3 more, making 4 DLCs. Unless one or more of the future ones get canceled for some reason, which would svck.

My most optimistic guesstimation is that Honest Hearts could be released on April 26th (because this kind of crap is always released on a Tuesday). However it all depends on the release on the patch, so the most realistic release might not be until the first or second in May (3rd or 10th).
