Honest hearts weapons

Post » Fri Feb 12, 2010 7:03 pm

They already exist. Multiplas rifle and Tri-Beam laser rifle.

If it's this pre-war tech place I'm guessing mostly energy weapons or some kind of crazy advanced guns.

The Tri-beam Laser rifle is not really a shotgun. I havn't tried the Multiplas rifle yet I must have mistaked it for a a plasma rifle. But thanks for letting me know, I'm gonna try it out now.

On topic:
+1 to the crossbow

Other weapons I would like to see:
- One handed shotgun ala the Pistole from Uncharted 2
- The Infiltrator from The Pitt
- The old homemade weapons from Fallout 3: Rock-it laucher, Railway rifle and Dart gun
- IDEA - Some sort of gun dealing radiation which results in damage per secound.

Nothings wrong with it but it'd be nice with a new one too.
All weapon skills should get at least one new weapon.
DM did this just fine as each skill got a new weapon.

Didn't http://fallout.wikia.com/wiki/Bladed_gauntlet have bonys limb damage?

Ah, that's got Bonus Critical Damage.

I was trying to do every challenge with one character, and did all except Lost For Words and Gut Checker.

Gut Checker involves crippling 100/100 torsos with Unarmed weapons, which isn't easy because you can't target with Melee or Unarmed inside V.A.T.S. and outside you're more likely to hit the head, the arms, or kill outright. Only managed 6/100 and they were flukes.

Gut Checker's much easier with an unmodified Bear Trap Fist, though.

HH will have New Kanaan and Mormons.

I want apparel of a white collared button shirt with black pants and tie with back pack. +5 to creepiness.

Bows and crossbows please.

R9 assault rifle

And dual razor gauntlets, basically raggs and bandages and wire wrapped aroud the hands with a few razors and scrap metal sticking out. Basically think how people put razorblades on rooster feet in animal fighting only for our arms.

I agree with having a luger esque gun. I would wet myself. It would have decent item health because its german engineering, should also have good accuracy due to the ergonomic design.

If they make bows and crossbows they should have a recipe to craft poison arrows/bolts. :D
I want more SMG's, Energy ones too (I know of Laser RCW...).
Also, more mods to old weapons. (I think Josh Sawyer said something was gonna be done about it soon).

Desert Eagle .50

I would LOVE to blast people with a Desert Eagle in fallout. The DE is so iconic and it just screams bad ass. I think those Vipers or Jackals gang members would crap themselves if I pulled that thing out on em haha

If not the DE then something like a 1911 and add some .45 ammo to the game. Basically just more pistols with a magazine instead of all the revolvers.

Would also love to see some new weapon mods. How about some weapon mods for melee weapons. Nails through your baseball bat or things along those lines.

For weapons, I'd love to see the return of the Assault Rifle/Chinese Assault Rifle in the next DLC. We have plenty of automatic subs and heavy automatics, but are severely lacking in the Assault Rifle area.

I'm guessing it's because the engine lacks a "recoil" mechanic so they had to nerf what should have been full autos into single-shot autos to keep the accuracy without being OP. For me, I don't care, sometimes I just want to go in guns blazing, but I don't want to haul an LMG or a Minigun and the SMGs and the full Auto Carbine just lacks the proper punch vs armored foes, even with the AP ammo variants.

The SMGs are OK, but just don't have the same "feel" as an Assault Rifle. I'd say something in between a "BAR" Automatic Rifle (which is awesome btw) and a Carbine Assault Rifle (which has the right look, feel and accuracy, but has really gimped ammo) that preferably fires 5.56 ammo on par with the other ARs in the game. While we are at it, a special Hand Load for 5.56 would also be cool.

A non unique version of the M1 Garand (This Machine) would be cool too, the same way point lookout added another unique (Backwater Rifle) and non-unique (Lever Action Rifle) versions of the Lincoln Repeater. I find it rather insane that only 1 M1 Garand type weapon exists in the entire game.

As for apparel for the next DLC, how about more pre-war type outfits and more ways to get them? I'm tired of RPPing gear or just outright killing NPCs because they have an outfit I want to wear. It breaks the immersion to say the least. Standard non DT outfits should be readily available and tradeable through merchants. While we are at the subject of in-game apparel, please fix the skin for the Grimy Pre-War Business Suit so it has the charcoal gray appearance like FO3. It's my fave pre-war outfit from FO3 and I'd love to see it come back in it's proper skin.

In that case: Railway Rifle. With a few benefitional tweaks from its FO3 version upwards, I think this Rifle would make a fine addition. Railway spikes should be craftable at a Reload Bench or Workbench from purely Scrap Metal. I always love the steam flute.

Chem Sprayer: similar to Flamer, but uses corrosive acids instead. On death victims will die in green yellowish goo like Plasma critical kills. Just to add chemical warfare to NV.

Spider Mine: Standard Frag Mine with spider leg attachments (similar to O:A). Can walk up to five yards towards the next closest target (that is not you or companions, but is indifferent to friendly and hostiles). Best used only in hostile territories.

Fuel Bomb Catapult: similar to Fat Man, instead launches sub-nuclear bombs that resemble the Gas Bomb from DM. Like the Gas Bomb, Fuel Bombs explode on NPC proximity. Essentially, the Fuel Bomb Catapult is a ballistic long range mine launcher. Ammo:
"basic" Fuel Bomb--same requirements as the Gas Bomb to craft, but also requires 10 Flamer Fuel. Burns longer than Gas Bomb.
Timed Fuel Bomb-- instead of using the Sensor Module it requires an Egg Timer. As such, it does not explode on proximity but explodes 15 seconds after launch.
Sticky Fuel Bomb-- instead of using 10 Flamer Fuel, it requires 15 Homemade Flamer Fuel and 2 additional Boxes of Detergent. Deals less explosive damage but victims burn longer and brighter than the basic version (damage per tick is higher, with 3 times normal duration). Dont we all love the smell of napalm in the morning?
(The ammo for the Catapult could also serve as alternate ammo for the Fat Man)

Bean Machine: a BB machine gun.

.357 Microgun: a rifle styled and handled minigun. Has 6 closely tied spinning barrels. Uses .357 ammo and has an ammo capacity of 60. Eats ammo for breakfast though (full clip depletion is about the same time as the full clip depletion of a 12.7mm SMG). Does not have spool time.

Here is a favorite of mine...

Multi-launch heavy-Assault Saturation System aka MASS: this long stretched bucket contains 6 25mm launch tubes for bought, looted or home made 25mm RPGs. Each tube can contain up to 6 rockets, totalling 36 rockets for a fully loaded MASS. Rate of Fire is 3/sec. Fully automatic. As can be expected, it deals the same damage per shot as a 25mm grenade, but allows for a straight forward shot rather than an arching one. Can not be reloaded until completely depleted due to its reload "rack" (a rack contains a maximum of 36 rockets). Fires like a Metalstorm gun.

How about a Radiation based weapon like the Iraqi Desolator from Red Alert?

http://media.moddb.com/cache/images/groups/1/1/897/thumb_620x2000/Desolator.jpg

Basically it fires a bolt of highly radioactive energy deal INSANE amounts of damage but iriadating anything it touches and it lingers for quite some time. Only useful when lots of rad resist on PC.

The MG42 weighs about the same as the MAG 58 just under 12kgs. You can carry it all day, i know i have. The tri-pod you see them mounted on is for when they are used in SFMG mode (Substained Fire Machine Gun)

dude how old r you the germans dont still use that weapon they moved to mg3 not too long after wwii they probably have something else too by now. my one german buddy from xbox says the mg3 is still used today but the 42 was gone long ago. any wwii film ive ever seen the 42 is always mounted and no man is ever standing with one and shooting. it has to be carried to get it somewhere what i meant was is not a light machine gun like what the us walk around with 249 saw mk 46 s the 42 looks really long. in some "metal of honor " situation it could ran around and fired but couldn t be easy i bet you d get pulled off the target really quick. r u german army?????

Desert Eagle has already been in Fallout, and 1911 is basicly the same as the 9mm Pistol.

Lol i'm 42
I carried the MAG 58
I servered in the Australian Army for nearlly 14 years. The MG42 had a bi-pod aswell but could be fired from the prone using a rock or even un supported. Not the greatest way to fire, but could still be done.

Why not R91 5.56mm assault rifle from F3 would fit this game perfect.
Allot of people ask for a desert eagle, haven't they tried the 12.7mm pistol yet? It's pretty much the same.
As for the weapons i wan't to see, a PPS or a PPSH-41 called the Chinese SMG (two handed) shoots 9mm.
look up the pics those things look cool.

I'm not going to get into specifics, but I'd like a wider arsenal of powerful Energy Weapons that don't eat away ammo like the Multiplas Rifle and Pew-Pew do. Seeing as how the Legion is going to be a central theme, some type of primitive, yet powerful and effective weapons would be good too.
