The ability to have children has not been confirmed or denied yet, so the poll is based on a completely hypothetical assumption that has, in itself, nothing to do with my personal preference. (I'm writing this here because sometimes I see people who seem to miss or ignore subtleties like this and it can be so annoying).
Second, I know this poll may be a little confusing to people who vote faster than they read/think, so for those of you who do that: please go away.
Now, for those of you who stayed, feel free to vote in this humble poll created for the sole purpose of sating my curiosity.
I see a lot of topics about marriage and children and so on and occasionally notice people saying how great it would be to be able to have kids in Skyrim. And then of course the same people start talking about wives, so I can guess why they see nothing wrong with this idea. A male Dovahkiin perhaps couldn't care less about the technical details of bearing a child while he's out killing dragons for 9 out of 12 months in a year, but can you imagine the same situation from a female character's perspective? Playing a woman, would you still be so eager to put your dragon-killing career aside for about 9 ingame months that the baby would spend in your bloated tummy and then even more time to, you know, ensure its basic survival?
Personally, I always play female characters due to my inability to find myself in the male mindset and my preference for staring at female rather than male behinds while playing games (sorry guys, your behinds are simply inferior). And to respond to my own question, I would hate it and I think my character would be even less happy about it. To be honest, the only way I can see it working is by fading the screen to black for 10 ingame years and and then resuming the action with "Mummy? Where do all these infinite dragons come frooooom?" addressed to the Dovahkiin who at that point realises that it's time to push the plot forward once again...
