Aruba, Jamaica ooo I wanna take you, To Bermuda, Bahama come on pretty mama, Key Largo, Montego baby why don't we go.... *Ahem*

I don't really have anything to add other than don't do a cruise, which you don't appear to want to do anyway. You'll save more money if you just go to a nice hotel and never leave the building, which will essentially be the same thing.

Anquilia? I think they are expensive though. I saw them on the Bachelor there, very beautiful. Would love to go there, but the $$$ but since you got $2400 and that doesn't include air fare, I would check that place out.

I'm not trying to contend, but I am purely curious as to why tropical islands/beaches are so popular for honeymoons. Seeing as how I understand and validate it as an opinion, I'm just genuinely wondering the reasoning behind it. I'm getting married at the end of the year and my fiance and I just want to rent a cabin somewhere in Asheville, North Carolina; Colorado, or Vermont. If we had the money, we'd go to the UK. I can think of nothing better than being holed up in a cabin/resort while it's snowing and cold and whatnot. I can only think of nasty salt water, unbearable heat and humidity, and sand EVERYWHERE when I think of tropical destinations.

#1. Beaches
#2. Tourism industry. (is that an industry?)

A tropical climate without a beach and tourist businesses is pretty much what i call a jungle.

I remember my parents telling me that they went on a camping honeymoon. They traveled in their ford ranger across california (or oregon haha) and all they did was camp at certain spots along the way. They fished, hiked, cooked over an open fire... what a dream! They had a blast, and it didn't cost them that much. They saved the rest to buy a house where I spent the first 5 years of my life. I thought it was cool.. But that's only if you guys like the outdoors. I know some people who would cringe at this idea! haha

PM me. My dad is from Caribbean, Guadeloupe and my brother is still living there. I could get you some nice cheap place, like lodging at my aunt flat at Bas du Fort, near Pointe a Pitre. 2 meters from seaside. Nice small flat with kitchen, bedroom, near city center, near night clubs and not too far from beaches (Gosier, Ste Anne etc...)

If we're talking UK then Lake District is easily my favorite place. In fact, it's most probably my favorite place in the world. :D

You could do a cruise and experience more places, but spend less time in each place.

+1

Best money you'll ever spend. Everything in one place. Do as much or little as you want. Just pick a quality cruise line and enjoy.
