I hope to die here...

For all the Dead is Dead players out there, it's probably pretty easy to recall all of the times that your characters have died. Probably because it was a big disappointment, the end of a playthrough. But what are the most memorable/hilarious/scary times that your characters have bitten the dust? Whether you play DiD or not, you might remember a particularly interesting passing of one of your characters.

Here's an example: I was playing Lonesome Road the other day, and I decided to visit The Camper this time around since it isn't a DiD playthrough. I stepped inside, then waited for the Deathclaw to jump down onto the roof. When it did, I sprinted out of the camper, turned around, and clicked the VATS button right away. http://cloud.steampowered.com/ugc/560950252440618975/2C6C558B703B38A049BDBCA8135CAFDB4065ECF6/ So yeah, I knew right then and there that it was a hopeless effort. Ninja Deathclaw would land on me with his double-hand attack, and I would die instantly, despite being level 45. I kicked myself for not taking a bunch of chems before leaving the camper, and made my last stand. The VATS side veiw camera angle of Elijah's LAER firing into the deathclaw's face as it jumped down on top of me (all in slow motion) was one of the coolest things I've seen in this game. Two shots hit the deathclaw before it landed and killed me, but it was still really cool.

So, has anyone else experienced a cool or hilarious character death? If so, post about it here.

I remember a good one.
I was firing Esther with BK ammo at the Highway patrol station.
I managed to hit a post right beside me by accident.

I haven't played that many Dead-is-Dead games and I have only died in one of them. It was my Robert House playthrough and I was trying to do it with my character doing the bare minimum of direct violence. He would instead use companions as bodyguards. I made the foolish mistake of trying to complete the end of Veronica's mission by getting her to side with the Follower's. I made Veronica pretty badass, but those Paladins were too much for us.

I played a Legion DID and an NCR DID side-by-side. I found their deaths ironically fitting, given that both died in a way that the other had criticized them about.

The NCR soldier died in the Sierra Madre. How? Took a spear from a Ghost, took the majority of his health away, but also managed two good shotgun shots on the Ghost. Was gonna shoot him again and finished the kill when the caravan shotgun jammed. All I could think about was Lucius saying "guns can break or be unreliable, but one can always count on their fists. That's why we praetorians pride ourselves in specializing in unarmed combat." As the shotgun jammed, the Ghost lifted his next throwing spear and threw it straight through my NCR soldier's chest, killing him instantly.

The Legionaire was on the way to the Big Empty when an NCR hit squad came. One headshot crit from an AMR was all it took, thus teaching the Legionaire why ranged combat was neccesary. It was the last thing he never saw.
Even if he hadn't been crit there, I'm sure the Big Empty would've taken him. Anyone tried OWB with a pure melee and unarmed-built character? It's a death sentence.
