Wow, this thread just confirms how simply BULLHEADED some people are on these forums.
They simply REFUSE to have anything new/different, every single thing brought up that's not EXACTLY like the last game people bash it or have a knee jerk reaction to it, even if it's something that could add to the game, be unique, or simply be something fun and exciting to do.
It's funny the people saying no and try to say because of lore, which they obviously do not know.
In TES lore dragons are INTELLIGENT beings who CAN communicate to people. In the past dragons have aided people in times in return for various things. So how is it against the lore/bad to be able to do so?
You guys don't know the storyline, you talk about being a dragon slayer but I say, that the whole premise of the story is a red herring, that you may start as one, but over time in the story will find out something different or on your way meet certain dragons which are friendly to you for various reasons.
Being able to meet a dragon and through the course of the game for story elements, choices, etc being able to ride it would be COMPLETELY within TES lore.
It doesn't have to be something you get easily or even get to use 100% of the time once you meet the dragon, only at certain parts of the storyline missions where it makes sense within the story.
Whoa now. u mad bro? You're not going to get popular by starting fire wars.
Let's talk intelligently though. It could, and would, no doubt, go against the lore. Lore matters to some, doesn't to others, but I personally like precision and depth in the story/lore. It would rub the wrong way because dragons, simply put, don't really like Skyrim. Akatosh/Alduin isn't very content with the Nords, so it wouldn't make any sense to make friends with the dragons. The point of Skyrim seems to be
killing said dragons.
And just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean they are closed-minded and smell of elderberries. It makes you just as close-minded to say so.
