Hope for Advanced settings

“We have a wide spectrum of configurations there that really take advantage of the latest hardware.” Nathan Camarillo

A spectrum "is a condition that is not limited to a specific set of values but can vary infinitely within a continuum"

What could this mean? It seems to suggest multiple DX11 options/settings. Or perhaps a slight misquote?

EDIT: Also

"“Just on the PC version alone, between the six different specifications we have" is it possible that could not mean what I think it means. 6 settings right? If there are 6 settings why are we getting different info from the people who claim to have the retail copy up and running?

Does this mean 3 of them are exclusive to DX11 and DX10? Does it mean our info on the retail is bogus? Or have I misunderstood?

Since the 3 settings we know are high, very high and extreme id assume that they added something like low, very low and normal maybe...
but i really hope that they improved the retail version with a patch

Damb you and your flawless logic. But wait.. Wouldn't that make the recommended spec something like A pentium 4 and a GTX 6600.

You could have lan matches. But no recommended is a 8800 so that seems unlikely.

I doubt it people said they already had some DX11 shaders in the beta at the least they will add that at some point. I think I saw one person also enable advanced DOF in the beta with a small 5kb mod file.

We'll just have to wait till it releases. And of course there's still this patch. Maybe Crytek has a nice surprise in store for us (wishful thinking maybe...)

Do the devs ever post in here or are they too embarrassed to show their consolized/sell out faces?

High | Very High | Extreme | XBox 360 | PS3
those are five, the sixth would most likely enable DX11 once the time has come

Which makes it all the more incentive for crytek not to bother because whenever a DICE dev comes along and explains something the haters still hate and the trolls still troll. it's like when DICE devs essentially said 'consoles are **** ok? that's why there's only 24 players!' the trolls ignored this completely and still convinced themselves that the only reason they weren't getting the same game as the PC was because DICE was being mean on purpose, because, y'know, that's what companies do.

I don't think PC owners are going to troll and hate for an explanation on gimped graphics settings. Far Cry had DX9 for crying out loud... and Crysis 2 will be DX9 only as well? There should be some sort of explanation even if we don't agree with it...

All that really matters is that DICE show input on the PC section and calm everyone down. Not everyone on the UK forums is a flamer and troll by the way and there being ZERO interaction in here from Crytek is disgusting.

He says in the interview "just on the PC alone" even then 4 is still 1 more than 3.
