My hope for TES VI

Post » Thu Dec 15, 2011 3:11 am

No, I'm not here to complain about things.

I'm enjoying Skyrim immensely on Xbox 360. Sure, I've had bugs, glitches, and other complaints. But I'm hoping for something else to be addressed in TES VI, whenever that may be...

Customization.

I want way more physical options when I create my character.

I want Armor and clothing options like we had in Oblivion, where we could mix and match.

I want to have multiple rings available for wear.

I want to be able to live in a cottage, or shack, or cabin, or house in the wilderness. (This means those places contain safe storage.) Also, let me choose individual furniture pieces, so I can have more bookshelves and weapon racks.

If Smithing returns, I want my crafted weapons to look unique. Give us blade, hilt, handle, and grip options. Same for Armor, axes, bows, daggers, etc.

If my character has a voice, let me choose it!

If I'm given a generic horse, let me name it!

What type of customization options/enhancements would you like to see in the next ES game?

EDIT: I'm on the Xbox 360, so I don't have access to all of the awesome Mods that PC users get.

Considering I'm on PC, these things are pretty much absolutely guaranteed for us via community mods.

Skyrim hasn't even been out a month and people are already discussing the next installment. Yep, everything's normal.

My hope is that this marriage thing is more deep. You know...you can ACTUALLY TAKE THEM AS COMPANIONS WITHOUT CONSOLE COMMAND! Or heck, maybe do radiant quests for them like they got hit on while you were away and you have to do stuff or maybe just take them somewhere like a cave to recover their prized ring or something. Something other than having the wife as basically a cash cow.

I agree with everything you have stated. Hopefully the next generations of consoles will be alot more powerful.

Why pay for an experience, when as the marketers tell you, it's all about anticipation?

I'm loving Skyrim. I'm taking my time with it, and already have several other characters planned. I'll also be going back to Oblivion to try out some characters I've been thinking about.

When I take a break from this, I'll be playing Morrowind (GOTY edition) for the first time. That's instead of two other new games that I still have in their wrapping.

My OP is just about the character customization features I want to see in the next ES.

How about when TES 6 comes out the main guild quests have some depth and length to them? How about more choices in quests that will not affect the lore too profoundly. For instance by all means set me on rails for the main quest lines. But at least make them interesting, long, and have some depth to them. They were completely disappointing. Oblivion had more depth. People are not THAT stupid. Even dudebros can appreciate some depth in a questline.

Love most of the game but there is A LOT of room for improvement. Here is to hoping Bethesda releases TES 6 Alinor in 2015! Take whatever time you need and do not rush the game out before thoroughly bug testing it on all platforms.

Hair physics, character customization like Oblivion had instead of a few presets, boob and butt slider on women, fat slider on both male and female, and muscle slider on both (Saints row got it right), cloth physics, battles with 30+ bad guys on screen (imaging facing an army of skeletons by yourself), static bosses that don't level, quests which branch based on choices, quests that fail, athletics back and have it govern speed, carry weight, jump height and fall damage.

To the OP: I suggest getting a pc in the future because there's no way in hell Beth will satisfied every personal whim. Only mods can do that.

Well, I hope you are not sitting around waiting, because if you are, you better get used to dusting off the cobwebs since Beth is averaging around 5-6 years between games.
