Hope this helps some of you out.

UPDATES: Will be placed below the initial post. Added info from other members will also be placed there if I feel it is valuable in helping others improve their play..

Guys I am going to attempt to explain a few things that I personally hope will allow you guys to get over some of your problems. Let me start by saying I was in the SAME boat as 80 percent of you were in the past week as far as a few issues with frustration from different situations. I will list them in no particular order so its easy to read and understand.

1. Shooting people only for them to turn and 2 shot kill or whatever it took to take you down! That was happening to me as well, but as i said "WAS". I in no way shape or form have a better connection than any of you I am sure " AT&T U verse" and as I consider myself to be a pretty decent gamer told myself there has to be something that is wrong with ME! ( there is no way that a connection can be that bad to the point a guy who has his back to me can turn and kill me like that).

My Solutions: A) Aim for the Head (common sense in shooters) or anywhere above the shoulders. A natural instinct is to say they have their back to me ill just shoot them anywhere, clearly in this game it is a risk to do that so just shoot them in the area i stated above and i promise you that you'll begin to understand how the game works. Another thing is if you can run up behind them and give them 1 melee and then shoot (Don't waste your time trying to double or triple melee if they have armor on!. B) Let's be honest there are also a group of guys that say damn I am always getting shot in the back etc (being your on the flip side of the situation stated just above). One thing I have done and noticed to be EXTREMELY effective is being I am usually always in armor mode i hear the bullet hit and I immediately super jump (most players hold their trigger down and before they can react to your jumping they are out of bullets and have about a 2 second time frame before they either reload or about 1 second if they switch to secondary to which you can react and again above the shoulders (make that a habit ad headshots run this game, once you hear that crack sound you guys know the one I am talking about, you'll see that hearing that sound more and more means your picking up on things.

2. Everybody is CLOAKED complain: I have heard several people hate on the cloaking and everyone is entitled to their opinion. My experience with that is this: A) I never have a problem seeing cloaked opponents I always see the blur and being I rarely use Cloak (as stated above I like to run around with armor) you guys should know by know that shooting a guy that is cloaked takes nothing to take them down! In essence use their cloak to your advantage ( I know many of you will say BizzyTone how the hell can I do that if I CAN'T SEE THEM) trust me I felt the same way until I figured out the style of play that suited me and the game mechanics and now it seems what was my weakness has now become a strength. B) ALERT: there will always be guys cloaked as i say in the CORNER OF THE CORNER OF THE MAPS!!(that is the frustrated me speaking when I would run into those guys in ANY game). What do I do to counter that, simple, check those spots or move around a portion of the map where those camping cloaked players can't be effective! If they want to stay in a corner trying to get easy kills then don't give them that option, make them sit there for minutes on end waiting (that will force them to move). Tip: the visor enhance is a great perk especially in the night maps (i have it at level 3)

The more I have played the less those frustrating situations have come about, do they occur from time to time OF COURSE THEY DO that being said most of those times now I find I am blaming myself, because I went back to an old habit per say. I see many guys online are playing much different then when the game came out and those are the guys placing top 3-4 in every match. I have become one of those guys, and i was always a mid pack guy with some good games sprinkled in with some AWFUL i can't even spawn without getting shot games! Another tip: I have learned for the most part the spawn points in specific maps use that to your advantage. If you spawn immediately armor or cloak and get to a point where you can gather yourself or run with your team (this is something people need to talk about more, if you run with your teammates you have a much better chance of survival in this game). As players we have to understand that everything can't and will not go right 100 percent of the time, at times we will spawn only to get shot, it happens! at some point you will be in a position where you spawn and some poor guy has his back to you and well....sarcasm coming forth (Read number 1 above on this post to see how to handle a guy with his back to you).

Lastly guys, This is coming from a guy with no special connection who up until yesterday was in the same boat as you. all of last night and some this morning before work ( I go plus 4-5 on average now) obviously i have had some really good games, one of them came in about the last 30 I went negative and it was do to my own doing. The switched turned on for me sort of speak. As I said before things I was blaming on lag and game flaws ended up being my own (that is not to say that there are no problems). Yes I have had that time where I go behind cover and a bullet curves around the cover only to kill me and have the kill cam make me simply laugh at this point.

As far as not being able to connect to games and getting booted out etc, I have that problem to and it's nothing I can help anybody on clearly. It does not happen to me often, but it indeed HAS at some points! Anything I can do to help you guys out here who are frustrated I will try. [

My setup for those of you curious: Level 33, I use the SCAR (yes I feel it is still the best for me, along with Scarab), Majestic as Secondary, and Frag Grenade. Modules: Armor Enhance lvl 3. Visor Enhance lvl 3. Mobility Enhance lvl 3.

b]This post was only intended to give my perspective and attempt to HELP YOU GUYS OUT. This was not to tell you that your wrong in feeling the way you do or that my way is the right way.[/b] I hope it will help some of you being I have been in your shoes on this one.

Feel free to message me if you guys have questions or what not, I can only give my perspective on how I have dealt with things and or found solutions.

Catch you guys later, Take care!

Shooting From a further distance
: A lot of players like to spray across the map, I see two negatives there A) your going to give your position away and likely only have a 10 percent chance of getting the kill (higher depending on an individuals skill level). So it may be best at times just to tag the player and allow a closer teammate to take him out and give you the assist (people hate doing this but your HELPING your team out. Finishing with the most kills in a match by no means makes you the best player, so there is nothing wrong with tagging a player for an assist.) B). If you are going to shoot across the map RAPIDLY tap the trigger as opposed to holding it down, or even slightly holding it down for shorter bursts, tapping it makes the gun much more accurate especially while crouching!

Love it man, this is the words taken out of my mouth but I go opposite of you. I use stealth instead of armor so my setup goes like this lvl 43, scarab/feline/scar w/ reflex and extended, stealth enhance, energy transfer, mobility enhance/retriever. I run around in stealth and get them headshots like nobodys business. I find that 90% of the time I die if I get headshotted or a random grenade falls at my feet. How about you?

What has worked for me is when I am getting shot in the back, I jump to face the opponent. That way, he is getting one less bullet at your head or shoulder up.

good post though you should probably move the disclaimer to the top instead of the bottom as i have a suspicion that a large population on these forums are under 18 (gratefully those above me read it so maybe there is hope here) and do not tend to read posts longer than 2 to 3 sentances before they feel the overwhelming desire to berate and make their sad attempts at belittling others who post positive and helpfull topics instead of the tired tirades and other keyboard pollution that they feel the need to spout on every FPS board i have been on from call of duty to killzone and Halo, and now crysis.

Sure bugs exist and this game is imperfect, sure the MP gameplay doesnt have the shine and polish of older franchises such as COD, Battlefield and Halo, but it is certainly not unplayable and can still be fun as long as you are willing to adapt and dont try and play it like other FPS games despite the obvious and ambiquitous similarities.

I find constant stealth is more conducive to living but its probably my style. Good guide. Just want to add that when your behind, burst fire. Anyone with threat tracer can tell you how inaccurate guns get when you hold down the trigger.

No worries. I posted this to help those who are mature and willing to understand somebody is trying to help them and not just disagree with them (or tell them they are wrong for feeling the way they do at the moment about this game). I intended it to be long so I could add as much detail and explain the situations fully. My theory is if you have to say something or explain it, do it fully and leave nothing out!

Absolutely, more so from a distance my accuracy greatly improved when tapping the trigger fast, bullets are on point, the minute you hold it down bullets scatter more so.

Unfortunately buddy that has never happened to me so I can't answer that. As I said I only speak from my personal experiences as well as the people I play with. Again I have a standard internet provider nothing special.

On another note I have had plenty of guys I play with complain prior to me explaining a few things and now they say oh I see what i was doing wrong and they are getting results. At the same time I won't sit here and tell you it is your fault either it may very well be a lag issue. Again try to implement some of the core things I spoke of and they should work regardless of your skill level. It won't hurt you to give it a try.

All of those happen to me as well, more frequently though aI kill the person in front of me only to have somebody shoot me from the side. it happens though and I am not upset over it one bit (as I do that to a lot of people as well). That is why in my initial post I said running with your team helps, it takes away this problem as your teammates can save you from the blindsided kill. I always try and put myself in a position of advantage, meaning a spot where if they see me or I see them I have the upper hand. Being we can't always get to those spots immediately do to where we spawn, we adapt and as I stated (Armor or Cloak) right away and put yourself in a position of power.
