Horn Lily bulb missing

Post » Thu Aug 25, 2011 3:31 pm

Why won't this horn lily flower display its 2 bulbs in the construction set? I took the one that had 4, deleted the branch that had 3 bulbs so I was left with a one bulb horn lily. Then I just copied that one-bulb branch and moved it to the adjacent stem. It shows up in Blender and Nifskope so what's wrong with the construction set?

A possible issue could be that the duplicate object's name is the same as the original's. I usually avoid two objects having the same name, so I'm not sure if it could cause an issue like this.

You mean the branch in Nifskope? Because all IDs in the construction set are different.

Yeah, sorry about the confusion. I meant object as in the modeling software, not in the CS. Try changing the branch's name in NifSkope and reimporting it into the CS, and see if that helps.

I changed the names from 01 to 02. Maybe it's the way they are arranged. It still doesn't appear in the construction set.

The default bulb that is lower and closer to the ground is beneath two NiNode blocks.

The uppermost bulb, the one I made, is just those two parts by themselves and they are not under any NiNode blocks. Could that be the case?

Well that I think is a good second guess, since mine didn't help much. I think you can move those branches under the node "Flora_plant_01", since all the other parts (all of which appear in the CS without problems) are under there. Copying/cutting and pasting the branches should do the trick.
