Horned Helms Just so you know

Post » Wed Oct 19, 2011 11:34 pm

Well just something that has bothered me being of norse lines, the horned helms... dont get me wrong i love them in Skyrim and will be using them since nords arent really norse just based off them, but to say they are norse is idiotic, i suppose not so idiotic sense this is a common error in movies and tv shows. Norseman did not have horns on their helms this is something hollywood has made up.\ just so you all know just bothers me for some how. with that aside They look pretty sweet and i love the new look of the armour sets.

No one said they were Norse.

Nord does not necessarily equal Norse.

As long as it's awesome, who gives a rip about historical accuracy?

First of all, hollywood did not made it up. That legend surfaced before even hollywood existed.

Second of all, cool story bro.

It would be cool if the horns can be added on after taking them from a dragon, deer, etc.

Let's debate what the horns are made from.

Mammoth? Elk? Deer? Jay Leno's chin bone?

Yes. It's impractical, as weapons would catch it, and pull the head of the wearer with the swing, possibly breaking the wearer's neck. And it'd be freaking hard to get through doors. XD

Stop being so pretentious. He never complained about your "history lesson". You are the one who can't handle a simple argument without reverting to insults.
