I would love if Fallout had some Horror elements where caves are filled monsters and such. To be honest if it would beast if we had a Deathclaw maze, and a killer lurking in the woods, the possibilities are endless!

I know, but I would love a horror element where some enemy would stalk you in the night.
@Farbautisonn Yeah, I'd rather be in a vault than be near a ghoulified Miley.
Well some people are saying a Salem DLC or place in the game. I'm sure they would put horror elements in there if they did decide to use that location.
The Dunwich building in fallout 3 had a great spooky atmosphere bordering on the supernatural.
Not a horror fan. At all. So if there are horror elements, I'd prefer they be avoidable. Vault 22 was quite enough horror for me, thanks.
I'm an horror junkie and i'm all in for horror contents in FO4 (hoping I will be able to play it).
Just keep cheap thngs like jump scare out of the the game, please.
@Judicator I'm just talking mazes with monsters and all that, cheap jumpscares are [censored] overrated in my opinion.
I'm not really a huge fan of horror. I don't watch horror movies and I don't play horror games. However, Vault 34 in New Vegas was fun. With the blinking lights and the ghouls, I guess you could say it had a bit of a horror vibe going with it. So something like that in FO4 wouldn't bother me at all. Just so long as it doesn't permeate the entire game.
Well now you know if you see a ghoul with a wrecking ball!
God no.
You want horror, play a damn horror game and don't [censored] up Fallout. Or make/wait for a mod with horror themes.
@Blinzler I don't mean like for the whole game, I'm talking about like places with horror elements like vaults in such. That's not where I'm getting at.
Nhe, Fallout just doesn't lend itself to horror or spooky, just doesn't fit. Vault 34 was fun though...
The only reason I went to 34, was for the loot. And for a unique weapon.
To me the only horror I want to see in Fallout comes from what man does to fellow man, incapable of learning from the past, while living through the devastation of nuclear warfare.
Fallout had and should have a focus on survival, war and it's inevitability to escape from it and the effects of global nuclear devastation.
I don't need something to jump at me from the dark corners of a vault. Re-discovering the disregard and disrespect for human life displayed by Vault Tec. is frightening enough. Seeing the Enclave attempt social cleansing in the name of a better, purer, future is frightening enough. Seeing some mad scientist voluntarily transfer their brain into some glorified fish bowls to continue merry research while losing their humanity in the process is frightening enough.
That's the horror I'm willing to see in Fallout.
Not boogeyman jumping from dark corners. Those have games of their own.
Yup and even the Point Lookout DLC is pretty horror.
@Evilfish Point Lookout is my favorite fallout 3 DLC/
I think I understand ya. Kinda of like having one section that is eerie such as the Shalebridge Cradle from Thief 3 right?
I've never played Thief 3, I only played that recent one. But Red Dead Redemption had an eerie feeling in that Tumbleweed Mansion, I get scared there. I was trying to look for a Ghost there.
Dunwich building is just part of the story that we get in FO3 if you have ever read Dunwich Horror by Lovecraft. Dunwich is a fictional place in Massachusetts and it's story revolves around a family, which is our Blackhall family in 3. According to Duwich Horror, there are two of these books, we find one of them in FO3. I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't learn more about the Blackhalls and find the other book. I know Todd Howard at E3 sayed they started writing FO4 in 2009. sorry I think that is BS. There is way too many references to the Boston area in holotapes, quest and in all but one of the DLCs to believe otherwise. Just like they have Arthur Maxson in FO3. He is there to introduce you to what you are going to see in 4. That is the only reason he is in 3 along with his family history found on one of the computers in the citadel.
Give me a place in FO4 where a great atrocity was made e.g. massacre, and add some "phenomenons", such as a body of a person that keeps appearing in different spots, a reflection in a mirror, or other kinds of stuff...
Just don't give me a real ghost ._.
It really depends on the definition of horror in this question. After all, a post-apocalyptic world is pretty horrifying on it's own. Inbred cannibal maniacs, twisted mutants, feral ghouls, psychopathic raiders, unknowable aliens, crazed cultists, out of control robots and the like as we've already seen in the games are more than enough as a horror elements. Supernatural things don't quite fit well in the setting beyond it being a scenario such as insane cultists worshiping a mutant creature or malfunctioning robot under the delusion that it's something else.
