Bethesda is all about cool things, and whats cooler then aliens.

sigh they will make it canon, and they will make it so the aliens started the war, completely destroying Fallout as we know it.

just watch.

:sadvaultboy:

I am going to hold out hope that they will not. It is the worst thing to happen to Fallout since "The Burned Game."

I trust Bethesda enough not to do something like that. The reference in MZ was nothing as far as I'm concerned. (Besides isn't it already disproven, since the codes that they took or almost took were the United State's launch codes, and Richardson says that the "Reds launched first"?)

OWB does not break canon. Mothership Zeta just craps all over canon.

If you like MZ over OWB that is fine. It does not come down to the matter of humor as to why many people hate MZ. It is the matter of throwing canon out the window.

I trust Richardson over MZ any day but in the end, just by putting the doubt, the possability that Aliens had anything to do with the Great War messes with lore/canon.

Like you said in another post. If it was canon then the CWBoS would be able to rule the world a "god faction" as you called it.

Very true.

Yes. So I suppose if MZ was somehow full-canon, then Aliens possibly starting the great war would be the least of our worries.

lol I'd pay to see that, but only if its the 10th doctor. not a real big fan of Matt Smith :P or Better yet, Bring on the 4th doctor! Love'd Tom Baker as the doctor again

A Modder could actually do that...

Years ago, Tom Baker recorded about 12,000 words and sounds for British Telecom; to have a computer read SMS messages in a human voice instead of a machine generated one... The up shot is that you could [effectively] record him speaking the lines written for your Dr. Who NPC ~and it would work, and would be his voice.

I think they will. Even if its unintentionally.

This is the way I look at it. If MZ turns out to be canon, then its assumed that the LW would have given all of the Alien technology to the CWBOS, since he apparently worked so closely with them. <_<

So therefore, if MZ is canon, we now have the CWBOS armed with Enclave technology acquired during the war (including vertibirds, APA, plasma) as well as alien weapons from MZ (disentergrators, atomizers etc) and full access to Mothership Zeta and all technology aboard it, including, but certainly not limited to: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bDs64HuHL7M. Guess what that would mean? Nothing can stop the CWBOS from taking over the world.

My guess is (my hope is) that Bethesda wouldn't be that stupid to create a god-faction like that. Since I believe they will want to revist the CWBOS again. Its also safe to say, if we see the CWBOS in a future game and they don't have alien weapons/tech that MZ never happened in the game universe.

I doubt the LW would expose the BoS to the alien tech. I would assume it would be his little secret.

Why? If the ending to Fallout 3 and Broken Steel is how we think it is, the LW fought with his Brotherhood buddies tooth and nail against the Enclave. They shared pain, loss, and triumph. There's even (some) suggested romance between him and Sarah. Why would he not share the secret of that Alien tech with his best friends and comrades? Since the tech on Mothership Zeta would certainly be of great use to Lyons and his misson to help wastelanders and build up the CW.

1.Too bad for you that Motership Zeta was taken seriously, 0% humor, just aliens, and more aliens,, not even a plot, nonsensical railoaded action, even COD had a better excuse to shoot things

2. 13 years old humor? yeah, thats the kind of humor that a 13 year old teenager would have back in the 50 :whistling:

Dont like it,? fine, its you opinion, not ours,

Battlefield has always had a PC focus. It will come down to how console players decide. I don't think CoD is popular at all on the PC. So I think it comes down if they converted enough CoD fans.

CoD on PC is basically stuck on MW (that's 2 games back) because it has the best multiplayer so far. Plus, the "no dedicated servers" approach of MW2.
PC is BF3 because it's being built with PC in mind. They're not gonna make a console port.
