However it would be quite unfair to only add mounted archery... it would be giving the finger to every other build... and it wouldn't be that easier than my idea for meele to implerment...
and I have a feeling archery will be extremely overpowered in skyrim... if you can two-shoot kill everything and the drawspeed being half as fast as in the demo then you'd be able to kill anything without it getting to close...

My point was that when having mounted melee, it'd get complicated swinging the weapon. Would you be restricted to one side of the horse? Wouldn't it be difficult and frustrating trying to hit enemies? I think that's what Todd meant. Archery on the other hand doesn't involve any sweeping motions, so it's basically the same as simply riding, but holding a bow at the same time. What do you mean by "giving a finger to every other build"? Do you mean "class"? Since there are no more classes, all archetypes could benefit from learning the bow as well, and mages could be able to use spells while on horseback.
I'm sure some enemies will have helmets and so on, and it'll be harder when they're in numbers. But that's just like in real life.
