I just love horses, not because of the speed, just like looking at them lol so i will go with my imperial horse invested in speed (just for the armor it gets) and buy a beautiful draft horse for carrying things =P

I will do the same but my character will be Khajiit. I never used horses on previous Elder Scrolls games, and I only used fast travel to solve glitches.

Tamriel is beautiful and I live it through my characters by slowly enjoying all it can offer. No point in rushing.

Depending on race, Orcs riding horses doesnt seem right to me, mayb because i picture warhammer orcs then again argonian and khajiit riding horses doesnt feel right either, i think a variety of mounts is needed but if it means always being the slacker in the party, a horse is needed.

All characters on the account get the goodies from the imperial package, so all your little pretties get a pretty pony.

I will say no horse in the PVE zones is fine as thats generally what i do and gather resources. BUT Cyrodiil is a different story. You are really going to want a horse so you can get to the keep that is under attack. No horse means you will make it there too late. Eigther your side already took it or yourside got wiped. The other problem is the vast open fields, The more time you are out in the open the more chance there is of an enemy group chaisng you down on their horses. you can always quickly go into sneak, and have a good chance to get away. but generally your going to want to move about out there as fast as possible.
