I got attacked by some crazy ice things that just appeared out the middle of nowhere, and my horse just ran off when I jumped off of him to fight them, then I ran the opposite direction, and every time I go back they start kicking the shate out of me. So now I can't find my horse, what do I do? It's not at the stables from where I purchased it.

If you fast travel to a city your horse will be waiting for you at the local stable.

Provided you own it.

What azrael said. This also works with your slow moving companion (wish I can buy a horse for my companion xD), just fast travel to the nearest point (or where you at if it can be fast traveled) and you'll find horse/companions that you've lost

Otherwise I would imagine you'll be back in the market for a new horse.


This reminds me of Oblivion when I was doing the Knights of the Nine ( visiting all the shrines) and at one I got attacked by a bear, my horse (prior maborels) tried to fight it, got wrecked and ran off the bear followed it and I never saw either again

Well, I killed mine by jumping down a steep cliff face.

Mine ran off during a fight, fast travel doesnt work.... Waste of 1k gold. Just have to wait for a player made mod to fix it.

Does this game have a wider selection of horses than Oblivion? Horses are always frustrating. I havent bought one yet at level 7

In Oblivion on the horse I would ever so often have a whole bunch of enemies following me and when I stopped they would all gang up and kill me lol

Sounds like the horse AI is about the same

Well, if it got killed on the way, it won t appear when you fasttravel, so thats what maybe happened...

I this game does a better job at that, usually when there's enemy nearby you can hear them, and when you're on your horse it always switch to 3rd person pov so you can see what's around you... to top it all off, horse seems to have a ton of HP now and can be a reliable tank... I said this because my horse tanked one of the random dragon I encountered... actually the dragon attacked the horse with about 40% life left but still that's impressive to tank a dragon for so long and not dying xD

Well, I have checked at the stables, and it is not there... Great.
