Getting into this game again, but I'm wondering how to tell if I'm selected for host...
I am often in lobbies that have a few players as well as myself on full bar connection. So how do I tell if I'm host or not?

For me if I pull host I know b/c everyone is like 50ms faster then me due to the lag compansation.
I can not seem to kill anyone without them soaking up a full mag I have just dump into them.

But then some times I can pull host and every one finds it hard to kill me...ie me walking through swamers to only walk up to the guy and melee him to death...you know that kind of sh1t......

I personally look at the frame rate I have during the start of the match. If you're the host, the frame rate will have a noticeable drop when there are enough players in the match. The worst case is probably that the match is a slideshow. Hydro Dam and Central Cavern are probably the only maps which rarely have decreased frame rate in my experience.

Another thing I look for is how I receive damage. When I'm the host, I don't receive the damage instantly. Instead, the damage appears together at once without being able to react to it.

I see. Like today on the DLC maps... Put 3 slugs through somebody with the Gauss Sabot - he just looked at me and burst fired me with a Scar from across the map and killed me. Nice...
