The only thing such claims really invalidate is the equally pretentious notion that "only prepubascencent boys are into the skimpy armor look" type mentality. As of course a fair number of female player like to play overly sixualized female characters in the same way many male players like to play eye candy "pretty boy" types. Any other point of course such claims do nothing to refute.

Its good that we've moved to a more balanced ranged of clothing options than the old days. No more full plate suits turning into thongs when a female puts them on, provactive costumes are more and more being equally scandalous on male players, female characters getting a broad range of concealing costumes, etc. But a broad range of choice is the best policy. The only time those that prefer to dress more conservatively grind my own gears is when they put their point of veiw on a pedistal of superiority,

Physical features of the models for ESO seem muted probably for graphic performance, for females and males. Less bouncy-bouncy's and jiggly-wiggly's to render I guess.

Still, Lyris Titanborn is hot when you rez her in Coldharbor (but she has basketball player sized feet like in Shaq's shoe size).

You wanna know why?

The briastplate is painted on with added bump mapping. To make them the way yall want would require reshaping the chest cavity and the workload x however many people are on screen might tank performance.

Right but those aren't Tolkien style Dwarves they are elves ES style and the OP showed a picture of a Nord that he called an Dwarf.

The Dwemer weren't short axe wielding stubby types were they?

Hmm, maybe. Is a hypothesis at least. Be interesting to see if anyone would comment on that.

Actually, that's the problem, there's never been a whole lot of depiction of the Dwemer. I will assume that they likely had beards, as beards do appear in their architecture and automatons, but I think it's been written somewhere in the lore that they were not, in fact, short. I think they were of average size, perhaps larger. Maybe they even looked somewhat Nordish? It's hard to say. The only Dwemer to have been shown in TES history (as far as I know) is the one in Morrowind who's half centurion spider thing...and creepy-looking.

All that said, ES does have Dwarves. They're just not a playable race, and they're a huge mystery, like the Ayeleids.

Quick edit to say that while I say they had beards, that may not have held true for all Dwemer? I don't think there's a race in ES that CAN'T have beards, is what I'm getting at. lol

And a second edit to say that they wielded many types of weapons, as evidenced by the various Dwarven weapons in old games...even bows.

So, the OP is upset because marketing hasn't given him enough cartoon soft core?

I would so make an Argonian (or any other character I guess) with a Jabba-the-Hut body. A really fat lizard. That would be hilarious and I'd be easy to pick out in the zergfests.

Why do argonians have boobs?

They are not mammals that produce milk, they are bloody reptiles.

Painting armor on is standard procedure as separate meshes increase load on the hardware to render and makes it more complicated.

Thats why chestplates contour. Some games make alteration to the texture to make it look feminine, others like eq2 (originally, designs changed over 9 years obv) had chestplates that fit like tight sleeveless turtlenecks, curved over the briasts but plain, using same texture the male did. No midriffs, no cleavage. Was rather boring really.

Robes looked like nunnery wear too.

Knowledge of rendering workload and paint ons comes from dating a game programmer for 6 years. Id make his textures.

Single player games can get away without it for most things because its not rendering potentially hundreds of models that can potentially update constantly with armor changing at once.

Even Doctor Who's Silurians had the appearance of briasts. Why? Who knows. I agree, I've asked the same question. I think it's likely because we've become so accustomed to seeing females with briasts and males without them? An easy identifier perhaps? Meh. I dunno. Maybe because people would complain if they weren't there. Damned if you do, damned if you don't.

No idea honestly. On the argonian/khajiit boob thing.

Dwemer have a load of concept art and theres ghosts of them in Morrowind, but I dont recall females. They appear incredibly influenced by historical Asia in dress and facial structure, and they were no shorter than other mer. "Dwarf" was given by a race of giants.

They did prefer beards. Even Bagrum appeared to look Asian. Or would have befote Corprus.

I have done some 3D modeling in Oblivion and I can say the male and female armours are different. They are usually made by taking the torso and extruding the basic shape from that and then expand it a bit to give it some form. So this is the base shape you work with. You then add on the buckles, straps and other details.

You then do the textures which are a UV map and HD textures not really sure how because I only ever did the mesh side of the model.

I am not even sure why I am answering you because this thread has been highjacked into a discussion about boob plates, instead of its original intent which was how different the games are advertised as. Yet no one will complain about the bare arms and chest armour on the male characters. The discussion about boob plates is childish to be honest because were as a picture like this is accepted http://i1.dailyrecord.co.uk/incoming/article925491.ece/ALTERNATES/s615/highlands-and-islands-fire-service-calendar-firemen-525691567-925491.jpg a picture like this is not https://lh6.googleusercontent.com/-snZAcphPp3Q/Urx1hkan0jI/AAAAAAAAA-A/DxIpTTTAf8U/w660-h720-no/5b1Bys8jC.jpeg .

Dwemer were roughly the same size as the dunmer sometimes a bit shorter, they used the same types of weapons as the other races. They had pointy ears like other mer and fine features, the dwemer are not the only race of mer that wear beards though because all the mer races can grow beards. Dwemer actually means Deep Elf so they are not even being sold as dwarfs. Dwarfs and Elves are very different and if you told a dwarf they were another form of elf you would get an axe planted in your head. Like the Aylieds dwemer were very cruel to other races as seen with the falmer and the traps they left behind along with what looks to be arenas of some kind in Skyrim with steam powered blades that sliced the people inside.

The marketing campaign I think for ESO has done rather well and has shown all sides in the faction war, most people will focus on the nord because well Vikings are cool what more is there to say :D Also because of Skyrim being fresh in peoples minds, if it was Morrowind then my guess is that the dunmer would be more apparent in the marketing rather than just being on the side lines.

This only shows that elder scrolls can show off how awzum the game is instead of relying its sales on sixual content attractive to males

How can anyone expect them to market them game using six sells and having half naked women? In every Elder Scrolls game for the most part the women have been worn down and aged beyond their years and majority just absolutely ugly. :D

Yes, single player does that. Cant do much with actual geometry for chest/leg base armor in an mmo.

I already explained the dwarf thing.
