Am I hot? Or NOT?

Post » Wed Apr 14, 2010 3:42 pm

Ok lets make my polite blanket vote up to date, if I miss any... I apologise.

Renee gade's: nice and stern looking suits your dunmer's face so hot.

Milus': a twist on the classic look so hot.

Holy assassins, I like the broody, neat look.

Person wyrd's: too young, and smoothed featured imo.

JD fan's: nice, but modded and bikini babe in my eyes.

Acadian's: Who could dis buffy? not me for sure.

Lady callipyge's: A very nice and unique look.

Bfg99's: A wonderful Khajiit, very nice.

Benrahir's: A good look, a little buff in outfit though.

Green warden's: Quite nice but overly modded for my personal taste.

Allystria's: I really like your style.

Sir Henry Echo's: a nice look.

Dren fire's: pretty good.

Gpstr's: young, featureless looks to me again, so not hot.

Fox 99's: Nice looks you've got going.

Petros': A good spin on the standard Bosmer look you have there.

The skin discoloration around the mouth make it look like she used to have a goatee, but shaved it off for the picture, just this morning.

Sorry, but chicks with beards aren't my thing.

wasn't meant to be face hair, it was a skin tone accident in character creation every time I fix it in the editor and try to replace it with wyre everything else gets messed up on the body even though I only mess with the skin tone colors for that section. Also if its noticed depends on the games lighting level most of the time I don't see it unless the place is very bright I've seen this on some default oblivion npc female characters. That's what I get for taking a second peak at the face editing at the sewer exit.

I'm actually surprised Bethesda didn't have a checkbox of some kind to restrict the sliders to follow popular observations on how the human facial features are proportioned relative to one another. Leonardo Da Vinci is famous for laying out such measurements. A Google search should bring up more info if you're interested in applying that process.
If the software had the option to apply such restrictions, it would no doubt save a lot of time and make character creation easier.

They wanted to leave things open, incase you wanted to make a freak or something I guess. Also, the game isn't restricted to humans, we have Elves, and Beastfolk too. So those measurements wouldn't be accurate if you took them into account. I think Fallout 3 does use that system though.

Which are you talking about? I have like 5 characters entered. :P

Yeah, I know it wasn't meant to be a beard. That's just the impression I got from it.

Also, my latest votes:

Lorelei:  Sorry, but if you're indeed using mods, you should be able to create much hotter. Not that this one isn't a good character, just that since you've opened yourself up to a whole new level of character design, the possibilities are now near limitless, and if that's the potential, you haven't gone very far, in that respect. She's cute, and I like the look, just not as hot as could be. Maybe a few updates would have her looking awesome..

Kat:  Still has that creepy kinda look to her, also the light hair and dark eyebrow combination sorta freaks me out.. She's got a good base though, if you make a few more minor adjustments.. A little tweak here and there, she would be hot..

@ Renee Gade 2: Hey if I can manage to pull off a successful skin tone edit (been failing cause it messes up body tones =P ) can I enter a jade 2.0?

They all had that vibe to me honestly, but your redguards and male Bosmer in particular.

The brow / mouth looks a bit thoughtful and broody in a good way, and are very neat and well drawn? ( edited / created )

Nope afraid not I would be stupid of me to mistake the pics you posted having looked at them several times... damn that sounds creepy.

I made an honest mistake your Breton and Imperial looked like Redguards in looks and style to me so my bad I apologise.
Bosmer's I used Bosmer as the plural as in the Bosmer were running away... That or it may be a typo, due to not being a poor and rushed typer.
I was rushed when I posted so I wrote a quick list on paper with notes and tried to get down the gist of how their characters looked.
That and some reason I get a glitch here that cuts off letters when I edit sometimes.

So anyway all your characters have what I consider the hot factor.

Absolutely you can. This thread's gonna be open indefinitely, so eventually it'll just die on its own. But one can enter contestants as long as we don't run out of posts!

Voting "not" on Kat. She's got a trustful face, like a doteing older aunt I have. Not ugly, but not really making me go "wow" either.

Strange, I wrote their races in their descriptions. Anyway, I don't really see how any of my character's can be mistaken for Redguards, but I guess everyone sees things differently. :P

Thanks for thinking they're hot. In the end that's all that matters anyway. :foodndrink:

Edit: I want to clarify for Renee, Gaenlorn Arrani's class is indeed Healer.

Thanks as well, yes they are well made :foodndrink: .
Hahahaha I think I have a real problem with my eyes now, half the oblivion npc's I think are reguards are probably not.

A note of apology to Renee gade, for not being clear in my original post, and taking so long to clear it up... I'm very sorry.

*noted*

Well everything's tallied up & current. I have considered a couple blanket-voters: Maydocmayhem and greenwarden, as both have returned to this thread and given more detail as to why they voted the way they did.

So Misty and Buffy are both *tied* at the moment, with 9 hot votes (and zero not votes) each! :celebration:

And I'm VERY proud to say one of mine (Luci Pheria) currently holds the most NOT votes. 5 notties. This makes me happy, :) as she's not supposed to be a hottie whatsoever. She's supposed to be the witch of our nightmares, and I feel I have accomplished a creepy, non-hot character.:clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap::clap:

But if we consider a combination of HOT and NOT points, Bendu Olo is actually the fugliest, with a total of 4 NOT but 1 HOT point. This puts Bendu at -3. Reyson the Orc is right behind Bendu, with a combinantion of points putting him at -2. Luci (and maybe a couple others) are currently -1.

Thanks to all, and I'll be around if you wanna keep voting & putting up new entries and stuff. Like I said this thread will be open until it runs out of posts.

 What!? Mathias Duponte lost two 'hot' votes? :swear:

Oh well, must've been a miscalculation in the first place.

I should be happy though, for a vanilla contender to even survive out here in this lot of lovely characters, it's still a big deal. Although, I think Meldil looks better...

Sorry man, I removed like 3 blanket voters, so several characters who showed up early in this thread lost votes. I'm concluding that it doesn't seem fair for somebody to say "they're all hot" early in this thread, but not show up later on to update. Do I consider all the characters getting + votes, even though the blanketers haven't seen all of them? That doesn't seem fair to me. It's a tough call, as you know I've been weighing pros & cons for days now.

If any of the blanket-voters return here (or send me a PM) and really go into some detail about why they voted the way they did I'll certainly update the scoring with their votes. Blanketer votes that got removed include Acadian, Lady Cal, and killerpenguin

Your logic is right. It would be incredibly hard, and actually impossible to tally votes according to what time the blanket vote was made, and apply the vote to only the characters present at the time.

An imbalance of votes is created towards earlier posts, you see, and that's not fair to characters that have been posted up later.

Phew, I got a headache now! Youch.

Well, I don't expect to get high marks, but I thought I'd throw my character out there for fun. I know the neck seem or 5 o'clock shadow probably isn't gonna get me anywhere. :P

Name: Byron Frost-Heart
Race: Nord
six: Male
Age: ~30
Class: Custom nightblade.

I think the vote above Angel was a "not" vote from me, and then when I got to Angel, I merely said "not again". I didn't mean it in the way you took it. I was merely saying "not" and "not" a 2nd time. Make sense?

Someone else already came to your defense in a PM. I just saw "Angel: Not again." and thought it was directed at me. I would be the first to agree she's not 'hot'. It would have been tacky at least and down right disgusting at worst to treat her in a shallow manner. Of my three long term characters, she is the most enchanting and the least predictable.

Here are some votes. I am abstaining on voting for the males, as I am no one to judge on male beauty. I am also not touching any character who is not an advlt (a good rule irl, and I think a good rule online as well). Finally, I am abstaining on voting for pics from t.v. screens. I am sorry, but I really just cannot see the character that well to say one way or the other.

Esin Erance: Hot
D'ara Lethe: Not, scowling is not a big turn on for me.
Nariene: Hot
Misty: Not. I do not like how the Cute Elf race looks. They remind me of plastic barbie dolls. I am the same with IRL women who have obviously had a ton of plastic surgery.
Buffy: Hot
Dingle: Hot. Chicks with shaved heads are indeed hot. It gives them that punk edge.
Shivazsa: Hot.
Amaia: Not. She looks like she spent five hours in the makeup chair and then another five with the picture being airbrushed. Not for me.
Sajin: Not. There is something strange about the shape of her head.
Leontine: Hot
Arrianne: Not. big lips are a big turn-off for me.
Amelia: Not.
Lydia: Hot. She has that ordinary girl next door look. Incredibly seductive.
Kyla: Hot.
Mindi: Hot
Lorelei: Not. Too cutesy.
Kat Orrork: Not. There is something funny about her bone structure.

Figured I'd post this one too. She's not finished (got sidetracked by Fallout 3) and has no name, but she is at a presentable level.
