Hot Sun Bathers at the Hot Springs!

Post » Sat Dec 17, 2011 2:03 am

Well, came across a funny scene today that I thought I'd share. Basically, I found a group of Hunters just chillin in their underwear at the hot springs. It was pretty cool to find. There's clothes scattered around and everything, it's really well done.

EDIT: Sorry wrong forum! If it can get moved to general discussion great, if not... oh well!

Now that is coool! And your edit implies it's not from a mod, which is even cooler! (Report your own post and put "wrong forum" or summit in the msg to get it moved)

I've heard about these bathers so many times but I've never seen them. Well, I'll keep looking!

Yeah, I found them too... I kinda assumed they were bandits who would attack me when I got near, so I took them all out with my bow. I tend to make that mistake with hunters now and then.

I saw them on my first playthrough and accidentally stole from their camp and ended up murdering the lot of them. :(

I did feel bad after.

This really makes me want an "actors in charge" type mod for Skyrim.

I also came across the bathers, very cool indeed.

As for other examples, I had a pretty cool encounter yesterday.
Spoiler
I came across three Imperials who demanded 100 gold as a sorts of toll money. I refused and since they then attacked me I killed them.
I kept on walking and shortly after came across three imperial corpses who had been completely stripped of their clothes and belongings.
So that pretty much left me to conclude that the first 3 guys were bandits who had killed the imperials, then dressed up as imperials in order to try to extort me and others.
It's details like this that make games like this so enjoyable for me :)

Didn't they say "everything you see the NPCs do, you can do too"?

Yeah. I want that!

I found those hunters. Then a dragon swooped down and killed them all. :sadvaultboy:

Thats because the gear they keep by the tents doesn't show up as a "steal" item when you look at it. I did the same thing.

Same. I felt kind of bad for them. It was like a scene out of a horror movie. 'Four 20-somethings thought they were just going to have an enjoyable day at the springs. Little did they know ...'

Yeah those hunters bathing in the hot springs are located near the infamous backwards flying dragons.

I've also had the encounter with the bandits who just robbed the imperial soldiers of their armor and try to extort you....

Anyone come across the wandering bard guy? He is actually a badass... I came across him killing some bandits, he made short work of them, and I was feeling a little evil, so I sneak up and backstab him - even with X30 damage he turns around and starts wailing on me - at this point I realize I can't kill him, put my weapon away to increase running speed and try to escape, and when I put it away he says "Had enough, huh?" and goes back to normal.

I found that pretty funny, though obviously not as cool as the hot springs hunters...

Lol, that is awesome!!

I did come across three stripped bodies, but I never met the guys who did it. I must've gone the backroads.

Off to look for hot springs!

I like the guy who wants you to hold his stolen loot while he runs off and hides in the worst possible hiding place imaginable. Then the guy he steals it off, runs up and asks if you have seen the thief when he is hiding 2 feet away in plain view...

The randomness of it all made me  the first time I encountered them.

When I come across little camps in the wild, I'm tending to leave the scene intact. The value of the tableaux is much greater than the value of the odds and ends lying about.

When I see vigilants of Stendaar on the road I slaughter them and take their potions.
