6 hours, and 15 minutes

Post » Mon Oct 11, 2010 5:37 pm

thats how long it took me to beat the game on Post-Human Warrior.

as the Crysis fanboy that I am, I decided I would start the game on the hardest difficulty from the very start, and I would not change it. let me say that I LOVE THIS GAME, and it kicked my ass! the only side-effect is that the game was so intense, it didnt fully feel like the first Crysis did, with its slow pacing. but it still was amazing none the less!

I cant play multiplayer yet, but that is fine, cuz Im playing the game over and over again and loving every minute of it.

I have not found a single bug, the game looks perfect even without the over-obsessed DX11, and the AI, oh the AI are genius! especially that pinger, that thing is evil! XD

not only that, but this game is LOOONNGG! I was ever so pleased to just keep playing and playing level after level! I know the MP might be a bit buggy, but the single-player is wonderfully made! (just goes to show you that Crytek is boss, and Crytek UK (freeradical or w/e) is not as much)

so I just wanted to know, how long did it take you to beat the game? and on what difficulty?

I'm loving the game so much all my friends slapped me every time i mentioned Crysis. I was bugging them since February when I pre-ordered the limited edition LOL

Edit: Ya my bad 5 hours 59 minutes and 46 seconds lol

5 hours and 24 minutes on supersoldier difficulty. The campaign was pretty good, expect the story didn't hit at all. I hated the pingers too, because they always did that emp attack of some kind when I was going to run to them and throw C4. I other wise liked the new aliens, much better to fight againts compared to the aliens in Crysis 1, though I would have liked, if there would have been more differnent aliens.

I did it in about 5 hours on normal difficulty and although I loved the story, I wish it answered some of the questions from the first games like... Why do the Ceph look so different and why aren't they obsessed with ice anymore? what happened to Nomad and Psycho? What happened to the container from Crysis Warhead? and what happened to all the Ceph flying away from Korea in the last fight on the first Crysis?

On Soldier it took me 10 hours. Now I started at Veteran, and I can hardly face 4 CELL-soldiers, cause they kill me too fast. I don't get why everybody is flaming on the AI, it kills me constantly, it's badass!

Same here. Playtimes mentioned above are unrealistic to me. What are you guys doing, cloaking your way through the levels? with a trainer?

8 hours 53 minutes on Normal :P
I mostly goofed around... Kicking cars off cliff-sides and suiciding over and over till melee worked again. I'll do better on Hard when a good patch come out.

Probably just Cloaking and skipping a lot of enemies. You can speed run most of the game with Cloak but thats not really fun in my opinion. People did the same in Crysis.. "LOL YOU svck I BEAT THIS LEVEL IN X TIME" when all they did was Cloak their way through it without killing anybody. Most of the fun in Crysis is killing everything you can.

If you beat this in 4 or 5 hours you are completely missing the point of the game and you shouldn't be playing this, I guess you guys enter each zone just shooting at everything like when you are in multiplayer. I have 8 hours in the campaign and I'm not done yet.

Around 6-7 hours here too. Was an amazing campaign, they really nailed it. Still, Gamereactor Sweden promised around 12 hours of SP, so I was kinda bummed when I beat it :(

5 hours and 54 minutes on Soldier if I remember correctly. I didn't speed run through it though. I played it exactly how I play any other games. I'm now on my Post-Human Warrior playthrough and it's bloody easy with Stealth Enhance as well as a suppressed Nova and a suppressed DSG-1. Nova for the CELL, DSG-1 for Ceph.

Playing on Post-Human Warrior.

I like the fact that for a change "hardest" mode is actually just hard and not "AI have x-ray vision and are already targetting your head before you come round the corner"

Only way to end this game faster than lets say 7-8h is to rush in stealth trough almost all encounters.

Those who did that should be proud because they waste money and experience which game have to offer.

honestly I didnt fully explore the game, and I could have gone more streamlined to get less than 6 hours total, but its just not as fun that way, which why I now play on easy to do all the exploring. I dont understand people who say the AI is a joke, because its all realtime, its not like scripted AI, no these AI are beastly evil!
