You can't even adjust your over the shoulder camera while aiming in third person but you could in NV.
Ugh it's so frustrating
Get lost and play that then instead of being arrogant enough to bring the mood down for those that [censored] enjoy Fallout 4.
If opinions (formulated as opinions! That's rare) "bring down the mood" for you, maybe you should stop frequenting online forums, don't you think?
Why do people start threads like this.................
They don't though, the OP is arrogant enough to think this. I feel sorry for anyone who doesn't like Fallout 4.
At least the companions in Fallout 4 are leagues better than those bland pieces of cardboard in Fallout 3.
Also, you can change the third person camera view.
I'm sorry you feel that way. Maybe you'll get some enjoyment when Fallout 5 comes out and you think Fallout 4 was better?
And I feel sorry for anyone who calls other people "arrogant" just for expressing an opinion and/or critique.
New Vegas is overrated. I'll grant that it still has the best dialog out of any Fallout game, but I feel like they focused too much on adding things just because they were in the old Fallouts, or trying to tell this grand message, and they lost sight of just making a fun and interesting game. These threads might get more mileage though if everyone wasn't so hellbent on crapping on Bethesda and everyone who prefers their games... it also doesn't help that these threads just happen so much, too.
Third person is barely usable in New Vegas for me. Zooming and aiming be damned, they really improved the third-person action for this game.
You should visit Goodneighbor. It might be my favorite city in any Fallout game. There's also a few large, um, "settlements" that become accessible as you progress through the main quest that are very cool. All in all I feel like this game is just about as well settled as what we saw in Fallout 3 in terms of large, pre-made settlements - and while New Vegas had lots of settlements, I always felt like there was never a reason to revisit them after your first time through.
Eh, having an opinion isn't arrogant. Saying Rex and Boone are more interesting than anybody in the entire Fallout 4 cast might be, though.
Because they're being honest and it's their opinion (unless they're trolling). You might not agree, but you should fight for their right to say it.
I do enjoy that they gave the companions in Fallout 4 more life, though I enjoyed the companions in NV better. Though Dogmeat beats Rex, hands down. Watching him do tricks or lay in his doghouse, so [censored] adorable.
YOU HAVEN'T EVEN BEEN TO DIAMOND CITY AND ALREADY CONCLUDED THIS GAME svckS?!!! HAHAHAH!!!!
Bethesda took an awful long time making this game for all of you and it's not right to diss it for stupid reasons, that's a real disservice.
I will admit that one thing on my crap list is the seriously poor model of the Assault Rifle(why on earth it looks like a cross between a WW 1 and WW 2 machine gun is beyond me. Almost looks steampunkish.... And, I think it was lazy that combat rifle and combat shotgun share extremely similiar model(why are they not unique between one another?) with the only difference I can tell being a ball on one of the bolts. It is still so far a lot better than FO 3. I'm also not sure why we can't mod a 10 mm pistol into a 10 mm submachine gun. The "auto pistol" isn't different enough imo(should of allowed us to fix on a full stock to make it into a SMG, would have maybe made the gun more viable for down the road, as in the later game I'm only using .308, .50, 12 guage and sometimes .44 or .45, with the .38 and 10 mm becoming obsolete.
Your opinion isn't very good, seeing how you only got 40 hours in. If actually going to places, meeting people, listening to what they have to say, then you of all people should know 40 hours in a sandbox game is nothing, and pretty hard to accept your critique of FONV. With so few hours, you would have barely scraqed the surface on the companions, the quests, and been nowhere near completion of the game, unless you doing a speed run, skipping quests and dialogues, and in that case any game is going to svck, even BGS ones, as it is just a fact, you speed your way through quests, dialogues, npcs, you won't have fun, and if you didn't, then you barely got anywhere. Just like the poster above who said 30 hours in and hasn't even made it to Diamond City.
Sorry to hear that OP, thankfully I enjoy it more than any other fallout thus far. My suggestion would be to play NV instead if this game doesnt float your boat.
Thankfully opinions are exactly that, opinions. Some people just get a little butt hurt and think someone is trying to make their claim a fact.
Yes, that's the polite way to express your opinion. Myself, I can hardly stand Boone, Rex is awesome, and I'm not going to try and measure interestingness. Just that so far I like most of the characters I've met in Fallout 4 more.
It also seems to me that Fallout 4 (and Fallout 3?) get more emotion out of me than New Vegas. There were way more moments during the main story that had me going, holy crap!, or genuinely conflicted about the decision I (or my character) should make.
I still think Morrowind was a better game than Skyrim. That doesn't mean I didn't enjoy Skyrim.
OP needs to stop comparing the games to each other and just enjoy the game for what it has to offer.
Honestly I don't know what "the entire cast" means in this context. I doubt it's all characters in F4 as OP probably hasn't gotten that far. But hey, at least his/her thread started with "I think" instead of absolutisms like "THE BEST GAME EVER"
