80 Hours lvl 48 Pros/Cons *Spoilers*

This is a strictly opinionated thread from a old time TES player. (Daggerfall>Skyriim)

I will not compare this to either Daggerfall, Morrowind or Oblivion!

Will keep it quite simple as what i thought was the major pros and cons of Skyrim and what made or broke the experience for me. Will not be including bugs as every game suffers from them at release.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Do note that the Pros cover quite big parts of the game and is not lesser than the Cons in reality

Major Pros:

- Huge beutiful world
- Excellent Voice acting
- Improved Combat system
- Huge quality improvement
- Companions
- Good main story / fun quests
- 1 Handed / 2 Handed weapon masteries

Minor Pros:
- Perks
- Random encounters / Quest starters

Major Cons:
- Barely challanging unless played on Master and even then certain "classes" play it easymode
- Huge balance / difficulty issues
- Enchanting / Smithing is waaay too good with no drawback getting them
* Even by viewing the perks one quickly realizes that the best armor (dragon armor) is gained thru this. Uniques found around the world doesnt match the power one gains from Blacksmithing / Enchanting thus making hunting for them quite worthless
- Console port for us PC users
- Spells and Effects cut in 1/4 (or more) from former TES games
- Spells dont scale and all enhancing attributes removed
- No reason to wear robes / very few unenchanted robe sets
- Sneak makes you pretty much invisible
- Character classes thin out after lvl 40-50 making roughly making you good at most things
- NPC's dont recognize ones status such as becoming Arch mage. They still tell you that you should visit the mage collage

Minor Cons
Daedric quests force one to do evil acts

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Even though alot of these things can be avoided a new player wouldnt know about these things making the unavoidable. Puge casters suffer greately from this game not just in gear but in fun and class development. Theres barely any nice looking gear, No enhancing attributes, VERY generic spells etc

For me i gotta say that the games balance, gear & technical flaws (not bugs included) killed the gameplay experience for me. As for all TES games i plan my character weeks before release and try to play that one character as long as i can.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Whats your take on Skyrim? And please do post motivations why you posted like you did.

Please do NOT post Hating, Flaming, "Dont play it then", Newfag. Childish comments. This is merely a discussion..
