First question, no. Second question, I do not know, but doubt it.

As Tale has informed you, you cannot keep the House Main Quest going with the BoS alive -at all. They must be eradicated in every sense of the word.

There is no karma penalty, I think, but obviously your reputation will plummet and consequently patrols of BoS - which sort of breaks the plot - will be hostile to you.

Having to kill the BoS makes me turn away from helping Mr. House. I think Obsidian shouldn't have made the Brotherhood's death necessary.

Or maybe it just serves its purpose of illustrating that Mr. House isn't the ideal path you want.

Patrols? I've never seen BoS outside their bunker (except during the quest).

And i think i got negative karma for killing the head scribe and that blonde initiate.

I don't get why people have a problem killing off the BOS, this isn't like the BOS from FO3 who wanted to help people and rebuild society. The BOS in NV are for the most part jerks who only care about acquiring technology (ie. more like the Brotherhood Outcasts in FO3). It's not a coincidence that all three factions (House, NCR, and Legion) want you to wipe out the BOS, heck even Yes Man questions your logic if you don't eliminate them. I helped out the BOS in my first playthrough (i did the Yes Man route) and after seeing the results in the ending, I'll never help them out again, New Vegas and the Mojave are better off without the Brotherhood of Steel.

Well, every main faction in the game gives you order to kill the BoS...

One of which will accept an alliance. Another allows you to ignore them completely, since the faction is yourself and you make the decisions.

Only House and Caesar refuse to budge on it.

Initiating the BoS bunker's self-destruct does give negative karma, I don't know what happens if you do it the hard way though.

That is true, though I think you get a bit of infamy with the NCR if you go the truce route. At least that is what the Wiki says, i haven't gone that route myself.

Hmm, that is a bummer. Was going to make my Energy Weapons playthrough my Mr. House ending playthrough, and Brotherhood sure loves to give free Energy Weapons ammo...

Exactly. Since Mr. House is fine with slavery, he wasn't an option for my character. The west coast BoS is elitist and not like the DC BoS though but I still wouldn't wipe them out.

I managed to pickpocket the ones from the Elder and Head Paladin, but i failed to piclpocket it from the Head Scribe, and had to kill him and the blonde initiate in the same room.

Funny that i was only one in a hurry to evacuate after the self-destruct was initiated :lmao:

Accept your negative karma. It won't kill you.

The thing with House... what if his long term plan could work? He is certainly genius, but he boarders on megalomania. When thinking of who to side with one should think whose right? Could Caesar be right in his plans to unify humanity? Could the NCR expansion to rebuild the old world be the right path. Maybe there both A-holes and Vegas should remain independent. But perhaps House is right, imagine if he could use the wealth from New Vegas to reignite technological development, what if given a century he could have colonizatio -ships ready to find a new unspoiled world?

In simple terms house vs bos house is good bos is evil simply because as house says the bos being who they are will attack him as he tries to bring back tech. They have already attacked alot of other people over tech and murdered alot of people and pillaged alot of other peoples tech.

House cant move and cant control his army over a long distance so hes only after control of whats frankly HIS already new vegas. He isnt after the bos for evil reasons he knows full well what would happen with the bos around as soon as he starts bringing back old tech.. BLAMO.
