house decorations

In oblivion you would buy a house and then go to a merchant to redecorate your house to look better, how deep do you think that they will take it in skyrim, will you be able to buy usable items like in fallout 3? I personally would like to be able to buy something to be able to hang things on the wall, like maybe different art, or if you could collect body parts from the enemeies that you have killed, hang it up as a trophy, what is a must have thing for your skyrim house?

I'd like the house to be mostly bare of small furnishings (plates and doodads and things) so I can go out and find/scavenge the decor myself. From stores I'd like a few different syles of large furniture to choose from like noble or peasant, or warrior, mage, or thief, sort of like the themes we could pick in Fallout 3.

So if you, for example, decide on the "noble theme" you might then go out and hunt down high end baubles. I like scavenging for new stuff to add to collections, a mostly bare house to start with would certainly make me happy.

This.

Picking an over all theme and then decorating with stuff you find is the best way of doing it hands down. Spent hours doing it in Fallout 3 with how they had it set up. Heck I even spent hours doing it in Morrowind on the PC since you could drop items in a specific spot... great now I'm missing my Telvanni stronghold.

i just thought of another thing that would be cool to have in your house, in oblivion i saw a lot of npc's having dog pets, so maybe you can buy pets for your house, dogs, cats, birds, monekeys, dragons, i dont know, maybe you can take them out to journey with you.

I would like to see a "place object button that places an item on a table, or wall that you're pointing at. Not that guess work and tipping over of glasses, and meat flying off tables. Just make it simple. I don't want to have to rely on a time-consuming paint brush glitch to hang shields and swords on the wall. Just let me put it up there already. I also don't want stuff flying around, because the graphic overload is nudging things back to normality in that particular cell. Just make it simple, make it right Skyrim.
