it's still in Alpha stage so there will be a few bugs here and there, so help fix them by posting the problem in the TEST section or in this thread.

Anyways the mod has been going really slow unfortunately, production in the CS has come to a halt because of lack of modders. The storyline and quests are still being worked on though and we've had a good amount of progress in that area.

But once again i would like to stress the fact that we are in need of skilled modders that can work in the CS and/or in a 3D studio. If you would like to join there is a showcase section on the forums where you can post your work.

Good to know. Well, I figured I should introduce myself again, seeing as it's been two weeks since I've touched any of this due to some writer's block on a somewhat difficult/now spent idea of mine... I'm joining the team to help develop the storyline with Asapp and Helena by the sounds of things, and looking forward to it.


The reason I have so little to show for is that the first quest I had in mind where the player is introduced to the political factions has been somewhat difficult to implement without making the whole thing sound biased (I tend to lean towards an anti-empire take on these quests). Everything I've thought up never really fit well, with each other, so I'm putting that particular quest on hold to actually get something together. By the sounds of things I'll probably be handling mostly Temple quests for awhile, or starting up a wonderful idea Helena gave me for the beginnings of a Telvanni side quest-line where the player helps an experiment of Aryon's in exchange for the prototype. More info to come when I y'know, have... more...info.

To be fair, it was your idea; I just refined it a bit.

I'd be willing to write dialogue for the introduction quest if you're having trouble with it - I tend to lean towards the pro-Empire side, but I think I could come up with 'neutral' lines for a quest like that easily enough. Oh, and check your PMs regarding the storyline B)

Ok we have come to the consensus that the title "Redoran Expanded" is quite bland. So we've decided to ask you guys/girls what you think the name of the mod should be, so please share your opinions!

Also, I am going to start work on the grand plaza soon and need some suggestions as to what you would like to see in it, so any suggestions on that subject are more than welcomed.

Rise of the House Redoran

To similar to Rise of House Telvanni, I don't want to go ripping off Pozzo's title. We're looking for something unique.

Hmm... How about "Solace of the Faith"?
How does that sound?

I think it suits the House. (And has a nice ring to it...)

Edit: Alternatively, "Soul of the Warrior".

Solace of the Faith would sound great for House Redoran, but might not fit the tone of your mod,
depending on how your quests/dialogue are written.

Soul of the Warrior would sound great either way, whichever you prefer.

That's good too. Of course, we could always combine two of the suggestions, giving it a title and a subtitle. E.g. 'Redoran Resurgent: Soul of the Warrior'.

If we're going for something samurai-ish, we might as well go all the way and just say "Redoran Resurgent: Way of the Warrior" instead. The same virtues encompassed within Bushidō are also written into the laws of Great House Redoran, after all.* Also, in my opinion, "Soul of the Warrior" sounds a little bit corny, and maybe a bit too spiritual for a mod focused on the more political and physical aspects of Redoran.

*Most of them, anyway.

I take your point about 'Soul of the Warrior', but 'Way of the Warrior' makes it sound (to me) like you're training to be a ninja or something.

Edit: How about 'Redoran Resurgent: Path to Power'? or just 'House Redoran: Path to Power'? That gives a better idea of what the mod is about (it does have more of a political focus), and as a bonus, it alliterates nicely. B)

The Way of the Warrior is the English translation of the word Bushid?, the code of conduct followed by samurai. It emphasizes virtues such as loyalty, honour, obedience, duty, filial piety, and self-sacrifice. Sounds familiar?

I know, but that was my point - 'Way of the Warrior' sounds like a samurai movie. It's not that it doesn't fit Redoran in itself; it's just that mod is more about gaining political power and expanding your stronghold.

Well, you do have a point there. Building on what you said earlier, how about "Redoran Resurgent: Path to Glory"? Nothing wrong with Path to Power per se, but it doesn't seem in character for the Redoran to pursue a path to power and refer to it as such.

Hmm... I can't really see them pursuing 'glory' either, to be honest. They see themselves as the defenders of Morrowind, not as conquerors. That said, I doubt we'll ever come up with a perfect title, so we may just have to pick one of these suggestions and go with it.

In retrospect, both of my names play up the House's religious aspects a little too much, I suppose...

In lore, the house is practically "joined-at-the-hip" with the Temple, though...
Especially compared to the other two Houses. (Which is why I suggested those names...)

"Soul of the Warrior" is a little much, but I like to keep a certain flair for the dramatic in my mod names, you know?
As for "Solace of the Faith", it would be better suited for a Temple mod... In fact I think it should be for a Temple mod.
Perhaps I could make, or help with, such a project... What do you think?

It's got the proper emphasis, and it has awesome alliteration.
