[Early WIPz] House Redoran Expanded

Post » Sat Mar 19, 2011 9:36 am

If you want my help, I could do some interiors. I'm not amazing at them, but I'd like to think I'm improving...

do you have an example of some work you've done? post some screens or send me a link to one of your mods if you have any.

Update:

I finished almost all of the exterior in Bal Isra, just have to place some crates and barrels and then everything will be done inside the city walls, exterior wise. Hopefully we will be able to start on the exterior tomorrow. I also recruited St. Juib and Helena, so we now have two more members to the team, so right now im looking for 1 more person on maybe 2, so please if you have experience in the CS, a 3D modeling program, scripting, or dialogue, and feel like helping out, post some of your work.

all have some screens up later.

yes they can :P
its in the CS though, i tried doing and in-game video and the frame rate was horrible and when i played it back the ash storm destroyed the hope of even seeing something 2 feet infront of you since the video quality was already crappy.

glad to hear that! always good to have dedicated fans :P
i hope we can live up to your expectations and create a quality mod!

I like the waterfall - always thought it was stupid that the Ashland towns don't seem to have any source of fresh water. But where does it come from? Some sort of underground river, perhaps?

underground hot springs, the lava heats the water and it rises up to the surface.

great! :)

right now me, and st. juib are going to be making interiors and putting the last touches on the exterior, while wolli is reading a whole boat load of dialogue tutorials and helena is working on the story board and quest progression plans, so hopefully we can have this out by early next year, of course school starts back monday for me, so that will have a huge impact on how much i can work on this.

and wear my armor? :celebration:

jokes, jokes

and yes wear your armor.....that you still havent made

and i just had an idea, who would like to be able to join the redoran guard? like not as archmaster but when you first join house redoran, then you could eventually become the guard commander or something? it would open up a whole new line of quests and rewards.

yeah, but still making a set of armor wouldn't take him very long and i'm sure he wouldn't mind doing it for us.

and u can ask chainy to UV map it!!

no, but im pretty sure TDW could get the armor done faster and better than you could, because apparently you haven't even thought of starting it yet. so before you start criticizing my plans, show me proof that you are going to do the armor other than just the helm.

I don't know exactly what Wolli's position was, but I'd be happy to handle at least some of the dialogue. It's what I'm best at, and if I'm going to be in charge of storyboard/quest design, it would probably make things easier in any case.

sounds good to me, i want to the NPC's the be like LGNPC, so ill leave it up to you to create a good background for each NPC, but if its too much (shouldnt be) dont worry about it.

yep, but since school has started back its going kinda slow at the moment.

Well it looked cool, but seeing how the two devs just argue nonstop, I doubt much of anything is going on with it.

1. hes no longer on the team so there are no more internal problems
2. we are making progress, at the moment it's slow, i can only work on it during the weekends at the moment.

but anyways this mod is not dead, i just have to a lot of studying, school work, house work, and sports practice going on during the week, so that only leaves the weekend for modding, and i'm not going to spend my whole weekend in front of a computer, so i might get 1 day a week for modding.

I hope this project takes off and can be worked on without the internal bickering. I've seen many an idea fall just because of this.
At the present time I'm kinda tied up on TESIV as far as modding is concerned, but if I can advise in any capacity I'd be happy to help in any way I can without becoming officially involved.
It's time Hlaalu and Redoran players had something to look forward to as far as stronghold mods are concerned.
As for armour, I'd prefer if it was kept lore friendly instead of looking to creating a new outfit.
http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?view=Mods.Detail&id=8215 an idea you may want to look at.
Nothing wrong with Gah-julan Bonemold as that's what all current house Redoran guards and councilors wear in game.
