Yeah, so first the backdrop to my question.

I went to enter the strip one day and there was this NCR Ranger fighting all of the Houses robots at the front gate (1 v. 5). I thought it was weird and thought wow that looks alot like the ranger I had used the "emergency radio" to get awhile back and who had just died a few hours before. Thinking nothing of it I entered the strip and left the ranger to die at the hands of the numerous since I didn't want to loose reputation with either NCR or House/the strip by taking sides. Then a few hours later I returned to the gate and all of the robots were dead and the ranger was just standing there...when I went to talk to the ranger all it said was the generic greating "ranger at the ready." After that it started to follow me as a follower. So somehow the ranger that had originally died (cause I entered cottencove or whatever its called to get rid of her because for some reason I can't dismiss NCR followers). While this is an interesting story, its only the backdrop to my real question.

Real question: Since all of the gate robots are dead will they eventually respawn? and, if not, are there any quests or anything that I will be unable to do now that they are gone. Thanks a bunch.

Well in the Lucky 38, the robots respawn so I'm guessing they do.

I'd say yes. I tried to go check out the guy who got shot in front of the Strip's North Gate without having a passport or enough money to pass the 'credit check' - the securitrons went aggro and started shooting: my sidekick (the Follower doctor, oddly enough) took out all of them with his laser/plasma/whatever the hell it is rifle. I picked up a gate key and went on my merry. When I returned to the same area later, there was a fresh contingent of robots guarding the gate. I decided to go get a fake passport that time, since I didn't want my Strip reputation to drop again.

They just drop 9mm, Vegas key and Scrap Metal :sadvaultboy:

In one game the robots all along the strip bugged out, dropping dead for no reason, their metal corpses jittering & jiving in the walls and floors. A few days later, they had respawned like nothing happened. So I'd also say "yes."

Thats why the only thing I use the NCR Radio for is to call in supplies at the farm outside of Searchlight, I found a glitch where the ranger falls from 30+ feet out of the air. Hello free ranger suit.

it has been my experience that they respawn. I was locked out of the strip (glitch) so I backed up and sniped all of the robots at the gate. Each of them had a key ( I did not know which one would). Anyway, since no one saw it , and I was alone, I lost no karma. I was working for House anyway. 2-3 days later, I came back and there was a full set there.
