Mr. House or Yes Man?

Post » Tue Sep 06, 2011 7:54 am

I'm going to do a play through with the NCR and Legion. Should I do the quests for Mr. House or Yes Man? Which is better, or at least which one is more beneficial for the wasteland and what happens after you complete the quests for the two?

I was kind of thinking about doing the Yes Man quests over Mr. House's because with House your have to eradicate the Brotherhood of Steel. Is the Brotherhood a big deal in New Vegas like in Fallout 3, because I don't want to wipe out any faction, I'd like to let them all live.

The BoS is a minor faction in New Vegas, and they're not the white knights they are in FO3, but are far more reminiscent of the FO1/2 BoS - meaning, technology hoarders.

Yes Man, run New Vegas how YOU want it! Don't like the Boomers? Murder them! Hate President Kimball? Just blow his brains out! Ultimate power!!

Yes Man puts himself in charge of New Vegas, not you. Yes Man even tells you that he is going to program himself to be more "assertive".

House is good but unfortunately all he cares about is the strip and not necessarily New Vegas or the Mojave. If you don't believe me, take a look at Freeside. When I have a mercenary-type character, I go with House.

Legion may be good at protecting roads and caravans but besides caravan merchants they care for noone's safety. Chance's are your either a slave solder legionary told to fight to the death with your enemy and if you fail you die or end up as brahmin packing six slave for some creep.

NCR, corruption and over-expansion and ineffeciency but has the rule of law.

+1

It's funny, because I just killed House in order to do the Caesar play through, but finally couldn't choke it down.

And yes, Yes Man does takes over and as he does so mentions that House programed to the computer to make him follow through with House's plan's.

If you don't obey Mr. House and get the other endings then you don't get to live in luxury for the rest of your life.

If you don't do anti Mr. House then you will not get to see and hear Mr. House in person.

Yes man has the best outcome for New Vegas, but not for you.

Pre war genius who save Vegas from 77 nuclear warheads or unstable AI that may or may not be Skynet? I think I'll stick with House.
