More choices in houses are always nice.

Back in Oblivion, I was in the minority that preferred the Chorrol Manor over Rosethorn Hall  However, a Glarthir-style house in Skingrad would have been lovely (and don't say I could have just appropriated his - ... it's not the same  )

One in each city is more than enough. Even a ridiculously rich man will opt for very expensive hotels than another mansion in real life

What's your thoughts about houses in Skyrim?

I think the Morrowind system here too was better , IMO you shoul be able to have only just one house and not many houses , you need to decide the city where you want or the location then buy it buying in a place will automatically remove from sale or development all the others , I don't like when you can become a businnessman owner of half city or more like In Fable or when you own most of the best houses in the world ... It just svcks to me ....

Fable 2 had a good system, where you could buy any property in the game. I want to buy any house, shop, chapel, stall, tavern etc I want. It would add a lot to the RPing possibilities of the game.

There should be more than one house for sale, I agree, but the capability of owning all of them is what I disagree with.

Make it so if you were to buy a house again, you'll immediately move there, leaving the one before behind (or sell it to someone else or to a real estate broker/company) The Urbz style

one house per town is enough, but I would love some more customising, even if it′s just pre done "themes" ala Fallout 3

Nonono , Only one place as home that you can further develop along the time increase and take care of , no multiple buying , multiple choices yes , multiple locations yes no to multiproperties its just spoiling and boring , if you own one only home you will feel better home and desire to improve it if you own 10 homes wtf you need them for? Just one is more than enough , you just need to pick the location , city , style , model and be able to upgrade it ....

There should be a house you could place ANYWHERE in the world(except near dungeons&rocky terrain) and upgrade it into castle, some magical stuff thing, or a small Village, with you the chief of course.

I want there to be like, 3 houses for sale in each city, ranging from poor, okay, and rich. I also want there to be plots of land you can buy and build pre-set homes on it.

I think multiple houses for each city is a must, else playing a rich or poor character would force you to live in a certain city because there aren't any other houses available in that city. For example you couldn't play as a rich guy living in the IC in Oblivion since you only had the waterfront house and playing poor character only had houses in the IC and Bravil available.

Though I probably just buy one house it would be stupid to force people to only own one house. All the people here saying that more than one house makes it boring and makes you care less about the houses you own, but the point is why should people be limited by your opinion? Just add a option to sell a house, so people who only want one house (like me) can sell there previous home if they find another one, but don't force others to only own one home if they don't want to.

I would say it be hard to make it work placed anywhere, but at some, pre made open lots could work

and no money earning from your estate, the town management in Assassins Creed 2 broke the economy like a dry twig.

I loved the feeling of progression I got in Oblivion, going from a shack on the Waterfront to a manor in Skingrad. However owning 7 houses by the end of the game was a bit stupid... so maybe they should be sellable? This might be slightly unbalancing, since you could get a lot of money from selling your house... needs some thought.

However, what I'd really like to see is better inns. Houses should be so expensive, you only really think about buying one in the late game. Before then, most of your time should be spent in rented rooms. You should be given the option to rent a room for more than just one night, and make it your own for a period of time.

I was always happiest in the waterfront shack than any of the bigger houses.

I voted for a farm because it'd be nicer to have the land. It'd also have more potential for cool little things to do around the place.

Wawte of time and resources I prefer them to make one home that will be upgradable that you can buy in any city and this stops from buying all other cities so they can focus to allow you to transform the home as you like , a city manor , a country villa , massive castle , a wizard's tower or even a Thievery hidespot... according to your gameplay style it would suit a lot better....

It seems to me like the argument of development time is against you in this argument because instead of making a dozen fairly generic houses that you can decorate you are asking for an in depth evolving manor that will be able to be made in many different ways. I feel like that is something that would take more work.

I personally would like a system where there is a house or two in each big city, and a few more rural houses on top of that but instead of being relatively easy to obtain I would like the cheapest to be in the range of 25,000 gold as t applies to Oblivion. The most expensive should be hundreds of thousands of gold pieces. You should however be able to rent rooms at inns for extended periods of time for 50-1000 gold depending on the quality of the inn.

A house that you could make would be nice as well and maybe it could follow the upgradable style that you were suggesting PROMETHEUS, but it should require you to purchase the land which would be fairly cheap depending on which of, maybe three-four plots of land you could buy. Then you should have to pay for people to help you build it and the more you pay them the shorter period of time it could take t build to your specifications.

Oblivion style with the upgrades and buyable houses, but more buyable houses per city (perhaps three per city - lower class, middle class, upper class)
