In other words, the majority of people are awed by hacks and slases and spells and whatnot. They think all good games are just fighting and leveling up.
When it comes to Skyrim, I think that's the gist of what any logical person should want. I play certain games for, you know, the main points of the game. I want it to excel in those places specifically. If I wanted to play The Sims, I'd play The Sims. I could care less if those features are in Skyrim, because that's not what I bought the game to do. If anyone thinks that an action adventure fantasy RPG
requires romance, building relationships with NPC's, and micromanaging your social life, then I think they're playing the wrong games. It certainly didn't help the sales of Fable III...
