Not much has been said, beyond the ability to craft items and build settlements... though I am hoping, we can craft display cases for weapons and armor......
Skyrim introduced weapon display. I hope we see it in Fallout 4 as well.
Yeah I want weapon display as well, though we didn't see anything hinting to it in the video though...
I just hope weapon/armor displays are handled through some interface (putting armor in a mannequin's inventory or placing weapons into a container) so that the ACTUAL item is not displayed, but a static, non-physics-affected version is displayed. Even better would be if we could "stamp" the item and then take it out and use it --- my weapon wall in one Fallout3 mod is incomplete because I am USING the Lincoln Repeater so it's spot on the wall remains blank (unique weapon, so if I put it in the container to display a static version on the wall, I cannot USE it).
In Skyrim (and pre-mod Fallout) I would inevitably set things up JUST so.... and then bump into it and send everything flying like a tornado whipped through the area.
Don't have them jumping around like in Skyrim, that is directly scary, one even managed to push its head trough the kitchen floor in my riften house
Out of all the things that I thought Bethesda did poorly was display cases and weapon racks. Granted, they have done better with each game, but I still think they have a long way to go.
Placement of objects is such a hassle. I want a mannequin placement feature as well as great weapon racks and bookcase storage.
You welcome, mate =)
Yeah, there was a good mod for FONV which was like a board on the wall and you accessed it like a container and then it displayed all the weapons you put in it. Like a tool board.
It would be nice if they made weapon display systems like the modders didn in Fallout 3 and New Vegas (Underground Hideout comes to mind). I mean we KNOW thouse could be done and now, when "housing" became pretty damn important, I feel like they should include those systems in Vanilla rather than leaving it to the modders.
