So how about those adventure zones?

Post » Tue Mar 25, 2014 9:20 am

So is the game really going to launch with no real information or videos showing adventure zones? My guess is that they are drastically behind on the development for adventure zones and that's why they have not shown them.

It will take me a while to lvl up so I'm not too worried but I am curious....

Don't hold me on this, but I recall Phazius of Entropy Rising saying they may be delayed for a month after launch.
Not sure if that is true or not, either way I personally don't mind, I'd rather they take some time to make sure they are awesome (as I feel these will have a HUGE impact on the longevity of the game).
Any longer than a month though and I think people will start getting angry.

Well I think content will take awhile for the masses to complete, I mean when tempest keep was released no one downed it until black temple was out, plus we need to get geared from VR10 dungeons to even complete adventure zones perhaps

Adventures Zones are now an after launch update. They should be going up on the PTS shortly after launch for testing. Then hopefully they will be ready for release in the first major content update in 4-6 weeks.

I laugh at people thinking that content updates will be coming out within a month. It's like they've never played an MMO at launch before.

The first 2 months are gonna be nothing but bug fixes. Dev teams love to promise the world in order to get people like those here to spend lots of money on the game you see...

hmmm, I did not know they pushed back the adventure zones, that's too bad. Quality is important but they do need to make sure they get then in quick. If people get to max quickly, and they will, they will be looking for a reason to keep playing/paying....I hope ZOS does not make the same mistake that SWTOR made.

They were originally not going to be at launch, then changed to 1 at launch and later changed to after launch again.

Likely all the recent bug fixes and game changes delayed Craglorn's development enough to be ready for launch. It is largely already made as the map has been leaked.

Ah I see I missed that. Still, the fact that it's not common knowledge yet says enough about how well they communicate in general. I suppose your link suffices though.

I guess people might be disappointed that Craglorn won't be available at launch but I'd rather they delayed it a little and released it as a patch after all the bugs and glitches are cleared within the existing game. The extra time they have can allow for the development team to make it awesome. Though it sounds as if it has already been developed and just needs polish and implementing *shrugs* - Methods of communicating game information to the community from within ZOS leaves much to be desired, hopefully it will improve once the new forums launch and there is a dedicated community management team. If there is one at the moment, it doesn't really feel like it.)

They put it on their website for everyone to see. Not their fault that you didn't read it. What sort of communication are you expecting?

They either get it done in that time period or people leave the game for Wildstar.

Ya posting news on the game's main website and then having it disseminated across every mmo friendly game site and forum sure makes information hard to find.

If you want information on a game I suggest logging onto their main site from time to time. Each and every major dev announcement hits Reddit and other sites within minutes or the hour. Dodging information is painfully hard I find.

Oh and this information is also on the main launcher of the game.

Like I said. I missed it, and the link suffices. Still, other developers have been way more straightforward with their info, in the form of videos and more of that stuff. You cannot deny that ZOS are the more quiet ones out there.
