What quest is called "not talent pool" That is the only quest he is in, and if any of them die it fails.

talent pool is the only quest he is involved in
and lastly there's a resource out there called the fallout wiki which can give you every detail on every quest by searching the quest name.

Do you mean how to get his Mysterious Magnum when you're doing the Talent Pool quest?

After you recruit him by giving him one of Tommy Torini's business cards, you have to ask him for some compensation for getting him a job, and then pass a Barter check of 50. He'll give you the gun then.
