I made a working summon ghost spider spell with a working tome, and I added two duplicate ID spells imitating the spider spit/spider bite magic effects but with demoralize replaced in addition to the poison bite, only on top of that poison bite, it was supposed to demoralize NPCs level 23 and under. 19 And under in the case of the spit. I think it's all perfectly balanced, becasue it only works on low level NPCs, and I think it makes total sense, isn't it kind of strange that even some of the weakest NPCs in Skyrim won't flee from those relatively large spiders? Further more, if hypothetically there were ghost spiders in Skyrim, I can imagine that the majority of Skyrim's residents would run away in terror at the sight of it, a fear poison for a ghost spider makes complete sense, and I feel greatly adds to roleplay type immersion, fear itself being the ultimate weapon in this case.
Only problem: It appears even though I successfuly made the spider look like a spider ghost via adding it to the spell list, it seems either the fear effect isn't working, or the spider just isn't using the effects I gave it. Am I going to have to go through the trouble of making a custom race or something?
I've done several google searches, and none of them have had any answers for these questions. If anyone knows how to make this work I'll be very thankful.
