How are they going to do Elder Scrolls 6?

Post » Sat Dec 10, 2011 12:42 am

When a game gives you a choice you know... to join the stormcloaks or the legion they make it pretty hard for them to create the next one. Take dragon age origins for example you got to make a bunch of decisions and in the sequel none of it mattered, i don't know about you but that p***es me off. So how on earth will they incorporate your decisons into TES6

they wont because you will play a new character within a new story and thats VERY fine for me cause it means another age, another area, other characters and another story

As if the lore cares that I joined the Morag Tong in Morrowind, or the Mages Guild in Oblivion.

TES games are seperate prophecies, not a continueing story.

We've al saved the world plenty of times in previous games.

It doesn't matter at all when it comes to the next game in the series.

Same way Skyrim assumes the Champion of Cyrodiil was a human race, as shown by Sheogorath's appearance.

In the next game you will find a book that describes the general path of your character. There is one in Skyrim about Oblivion. Plus each game is a different character and set a few hundred years in the future of the previous one.

Josh has a point, I can't remember the last time in a TES game you had a choice for a decision like this, in the next game you will hear about the civil war yet it might be about how the Imperials won, that'll probably annoy alot of Stormcloak players.

How could they possibly do that??? Think about it, everyone plays the game differently, my hero from OB is totally different from everyone elses. My Dragonborn is totally different from everyone elses.

In TES6 if they was to incorporate what you want, there would be a lore book....''In the fight hundreds of years ago....1 ........1 million or more DragonBorn's...was...born to rid Alduin...and so...''

Elder Scrolls 6 will be an end-of-gen xbox360 game.

Don't get too excited. :brokencomputer:

"Remember that civil war 200 years ago?"
"Bloodiest war ever, thousands died before the end. At least it ended before Skyrim tore itself apart."

Problem solved. It's acknowledged, without saying who won, or if the Dragonborn even sided with anyone.

This

They are all different events in a timeline and it has always been this way. The civil war in Skyrim is just basically a diversion for you to have fun with.

Yes but hear me out... no matter what in oblivion Martin sacrifices himself and defeats dagon, morrowind also had one ending but here, you have two Stormcloaks or Imperials so they cant just pick one that would anger a bunch of players

This.

I don't know why anyone would think that it would be hard to write the story for the next game. Just set it in the future, veil the references to past events. Just like they do every single time they make a new Elder Scrolls game.

They ll do it the same way they did it until now.

You began as a zero on the left with no hability whatsoever independent of your past, no past whatsoever, and will rise to god in a month when noone else can.

Did any of you play Daggerfall?
The choises you made there mattered a hell of a lot more to the appearance of the world than those in skyrim.
The only thing they need to do is remove the importance of the choises you made by creating an event between games, for example "the warp in the west"

"That damned civil war cost Skyrim a lot. It's still recovering."
"Good thing SOMEBODY kicked their asses into gear and ended it before it got out of hand."

"I was reading a book about the Stormcloak Rebellion the other day, and noticed my great-grandfather was an officer."
"Then he fought for his home, like a true Nord."

It's an easy fix, if you veil major details, and expose minor details. I'm sure most players would be fine if they managed it like the above quotes.

By the time the next game happens, we'll be far away from Skyrim and a second war could have opened up. The Empire might try to retake Skyrim, or some of the Stormcloak hold-outs have successfully organized themselves for another attempt at independence. Either way, we might just hear of skirmishes between Stormcloak Loyalists seeking the True King of Skyrim since Ulfic's death* and the Empire's continued efforts to stamp out the rebels once and for all.

*Cause and time of death will remain unclear.
