How Are You Biding Your Time?

Post » Wed Sep 01, 2010 8:10 pm

I vote other. Am just enjoying life with the knowledge that theres something as thrilling as SKYRIM to look forward to and appreciate being able to play come november. All things in perspective and in their place. Seeing what Japan is going through now helps to keep it real.

Replaying Oblivion with mods, listening to the theme song constantly :P, saving up money to preorder, checking the forums at least once a day... Playing FO3 and FO:NV, maybe Company of Heroes occasionally. Or C&C Tiberium Wars... TES Forever man! :obliviongate:

dabbling in Arena and Daggerfall on and off. there's a lot of stuff in both of them @_@

i'm also giving http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Darklands_%28video_game%29 a shot, after years of knowing about it but never caring enough to look into it at all. after a few hours i've come to the conclusion that if Mount & Blade featured the same depth in town/village interaction as this game does it would be hands down the best game ever. everybody should totally play this game even if they're terrible at it it's fantastic.

also i'm finally getting around to going through the questlines in Morrowind i've never done. currently working on the Mages' Guild, i'll probably run through Redoran at some point. after that it's the Temple, the Cult, the Legion and the Fighters' Guild (though i've done a good chunk of both of those in previous playthroughs).

also i just found a tavern/inn in Balmora i had no idea existed in seven years of playing this game.

also VAMPIRE IN OBLIVION. everybody should do a vampire run it's fantastic.

Oh I don't know. Thinking about life. Do I want to have kids some day, how many and should it be soon. Should I make this apartment good as new, or move. Looking at my girlfriend. Wonder what she want's? Well I know she wanna baby. How many I wonder? Etc, etc...

And I will continue to play as many games as possible. :)

I don't have a waiting strategy, I don't really need one as I'm usually very busy. All I can say is this year I am not playing Morrowind or Oblivion. They are both uninstalled from my PC. I think a few months of Tes"starvation" is a good way to enhance the Skyrim experience. The only contact I need right now with Tes is this forum and the info we get.

Going to Uni, hating it, being avoidant (serious problem, I have an irrational fear facing even simple things and situations) of everything in life besides my hobbies, sticking on forums, awaiting Doctor Who series 6, drawing pictures. Uh... that's all.

I'll be playing Morrowind, then The Witcher 2, then again Morrowind with mods and hopefully time will pass faster than it is now. Then the E3 demo will make these forums boil and then the avalanche of teasers and magazine previews... I think I'll be good, now it is the hardest time between the trailer and the summer.

Arena, Daggerfall, Morrowind, Oblivion, Two Steps From Hell :mohawk: , DA: Origins, Two Worlds 2, Writing backstories for my characters, improve my archery skills and play around with my mortar and pestle. No useful potions yet, though.

Trying not to lurk this forum anymore.
I'm failing at that.

... and playing trough all the TES games from Arena to Oblivion, all the Ultima games, and Dragon Age. Maybe play some Final Fantasy if I have the time.

I rented Dragon Age 2 though Lovefilm and as I go through it I have to wonder what M'aiq will have to say about it. Such a closed world so far. It might get better later I suppose.

I'm currently playing Dragon Age II but this is the first time I feel disappointed by a Bioware game. I'm thinking of going back to Oblivion after a 2 year hiatus so that I can readjust myself to the world of Tamriel. At least it can tide me over until the Witcher 2 comes out.

As far as other video games are concerned: I went back and finished some of the game's I never completed and have set up a "schedule" of games to make purchase of, to keep me going until the release of TES.

The list is:
Dragon Age 2 (released)
NFS: Hot Pursuit
Madden 12 (sometime in August)
Skyrim (November)

That is my way to keep busy w/ video games.

Other than that, I have school work and such to focus on..... so I'm at no trouble for using the time.

I like to watch it right before going to bed, hoping to induce Skyrim related lucid dreams. :tes:

I am constantly buying new games and beating them in a week or less. I currently have too many games that I haven't beat yet and I am currently playing too many RPGs at a time. My head is starting to hurt from trying to remember all the story from each game.

Skyrim is the only [Super Censored] game that ever made me so hype 8 months before the release!! Why am I so hyped ?? The game already makes me have no life, because I'm constantly reading news of it and researching all the lore I can. If the game already takes away my life now I wonder what it would do to me once its released...

While I'm waiting for Skyrim to come out, I'm trying to make myself immortal. I'm working on developing technology which keeps the brain alive without needing a body. Of course, I'm also working on synthetic bodies. First things first though...
