Post » Wed Jul 13, 2011 2:38 pm

:tes:
Because I know we all love Polls, I've made a big one for everyone.

PLEASE AVOID:
-Consoles Wars
-And argument over changes/implements in Skyrim (there are other Threads for those)

PLEASE DISCUSS:
-Creatures you want to find
-Quest you want to find
-Possible DLCs
-The 1st thing you plan on doing in Skyrim
-anything else that wont erupt in an angry fight...

Have Fun

I was forced to vote "Don't want fast travel". Its not that I don't want it and I just love running all the way across the map getting to a location, then running all the way back; I just feel it should be more limited than in Oblivion. You should be able to fast travel to safe zones, such as big and small villages/cities. You should not be able to fast travel to a random cave you don't even remember visiting . The game has a beautiful landscape. Why waste it by teleporting to your objective? Again, im not saying I approve of having to go everywhere yourself all the time, but fast travel was too covinent in Oblivion... :sadvaultboy:

Still a great poll. One of the few thought-out polls in the Skyrim forum.

ATTENTION: If you would like to see a possible female Dark Elf or Orc, then click the link

http://www.capsulecomputers.com.au/wp-content/uploads/skyrim-tavern-skill.jpg

-First of all that screenshot was released a long time ago.
-Secondly the women there is a high elf, the masked guy is a dark elf with an unkown face, and it shows a better dark elf during the 30 minute demo trailer. Doesn't help in the slightest.
-Third and most important this has nothing to do with the thread. There was no mention of dark elf other than "what will you play 1st", so thats just meaningless spam.

Great poll. Props good sir.

But, i can't really speculate on the game as much as i would like to. It will all depend on the feel i get from the game. I got amazing 'feels' from daggerfall, morrowind and oblivion and they had vastly different things about them. So we'll see when i play it! Only 4 more months minus 1 day!

I can't wait to play as a Dunmer they've always been my favorite race. I like how gruffer voice will be used this time as well. Marriage is fine by me, probably something I'll check out when finally get bored. Hoping to see some form of assassin's guild this go. I hope Bethesda doesn't release too much info I know if I read it I'll get all hyped up and become so impatient my days seem to inch along.

Along other types of quests, I would like to see some treasure maps that describe a route with sentences like "ten paces toward the ruins seen on the mountain peak.", or "on the fork, turn left and walk toward the lake until you reach a tree stump.", and the like.

At the end, there should be a nice trophy waiting for our adventurer.

That is a cool idea, but with one problem. I don't think many people know what a fork in the road is. Well at least I have no idea what it is. It could be sorta like the Test of Patience from Oblivion during the dreamworld quest.

It's like the Fork of Horripilation...but in road form.

I disagree, many options are biased.

Nordic Ranger (Stealth with Warrior)
I'm happy and mad about merged cuirass and greaves because its is exchanging less custimization for better looking armor.
I'm happy with the amount of info given, though I would like to see video/screens of the other races.
I'm for marriage, it will add another layer of deepness and feeling to the game.
As for fast travel, I want it in but I want other means of travel for playing a hardcoe/realistic playthrough.

Of course I want mud crabs, who doesn't? Also, I really think they need a mammoth boss. I really want a mammoth boss! Giant, armored mammoth giant!

I want a quest that involves a barfight into staging a murder in it. I hope you like parties, because you've been invited to one!

DLCs? I actually am not looking forward to them. Lol. Unless they are extremely good, or add something needed to the game, I think it isn't necessary. But of course they need to do it. Bethesda needs money, and I am willing to hand it all.

First thing I want to do? Kill an innocent. And I don't mean outright kill him. I'm going to stalk that mouse, and hunt him to get him at the best/funniest moment. It will be so fun.

I am honestly thinking I'll even enjoy this more than Morrowind.

Will I mourn the lack of deep factions? Yes. Will I lament the loss of attributes? Not really, embracing and loving that change.

The setting itself (skyrim) I already enjoy more than Morrowind/Vvardenfell. And in all honesty, the swing-miss-swing-miss-swing-miss*DAMMITI'lljustuseaspell*-spell failure is getting harder and harder to enjoy. Higher levels not so much, but makes for a slower start (Recently begun another run-through and I had forgotten how much I dislike morrowind's combat).
