How is Arroyo faring 2281?

Post » Fri May 27, 2011 11:39 pm

Arroyo the birthplace of the Chosen One (FO2) was in good hands a bit north of the NCR.
Anyone know how things are now, officialy or fanbased?
I fear it is part NCR but I would like to get others veiw.

Well if you take Fallout 2's ending into account Arroyo's doing well as a part of NCR. That's all we know.

From the Wiki:

In 2281, Arroyo is still present and has become a large city. Emily Ortal, a member of Followers of the Apocalypse, is from the city of Arroyo.

Emily Ortal, one of the Followers of the Apocalypse, is from Arroyo. Unless there is something else, that is the only mention of Arroyo in the game.

EDIT: UnDeCafIndeed beat me to it.

It would certainly be interesting... There are two distinct cultural groups in New Arroyo (The Dwellers and the Tribals) which has got to lead to some trouble. No word AFAIK if its independent or a part of the NCR.

Arroyo should be doing pretty good with the GECK that they have. I'm not sure if they are in the NCR as Arroyo's pretty far north from where Shady Sands is. Maybe we'll find out what happened to Arroyo in some future New Vegas DLC.

"After the Enclave's destruction, the refugees of Vault 13 and Arroyo resettled, building a new community with the aid of the Garden of Eden Creation Kit. Finding themselves hundreds of miles from their Vault, the members of Vault 13 chose to join the villagers in establishing a new community, and their technical expertise, combined with the villager's survival skills, allowed the new settlement to grow and prosper."

I doubt if they went back to the canyon to rebuild, they wouldn't be able to find their way back without getting killed, I thought that they would settle somewhere down south and inevitablely become one of the NCR's [censored]s. I would love to go to Arroyo, I have always wanted revenege against the Chosen One and his people!

The rare triple post.

My internet crashed, completely blocked me off the site afterwards spouting "HPT 550" or something like that. Is there no way to remove them.

Nicely bribe a moderator. They accept offers of clicked 'Report' buttons, served with a plea of help in removing the evil of the triple post.

Arroyo burned to Ash its gone. New Arroyo from the ending of FO2 shows it was http://www.project610.com/files/New%20Arroyo.jpg. New Buildings, Lighting and healthy plants thanks to the GECKS, yes that's right GECKS. For it is possible to find a second Geck on the Oil rig. Still a City like that would not stay out of NCR's sites. My guess is that NCR has by now (New Vegas) taken control of New Arroyo. My Guess is they did not put up a fight.

New Arroyo would be fantastic to visit in a DLC/expansion. Whether NCR is controlling it or not, I bet they are doing well.
